Vivaldi Forum mod
-
@burbuja You have to reload the forum tab after activating the mod.
-
@ornorm great, thank you. I did not see it
-
@potmeklecbohdan @luetage We have a clear proof here that the Vivaldi community is really helpful
-
@luetage Hab den Schlüssel nicht gesehen. Das war das Problem.
-
@burbuja Thanks to my knowledge in Dutch, I could understand your response
Ik had de sleutel niet gezien. Dat was het probleem -

@hadden89 Most creative reply so far.
-
Smilies seemed to disappear with the latest V's snapshot, don't know if it's related.
-
@goldnoway Did you activate the "Advanced Formatting" in the options first?
(works for me in the latest Snapshot)
Edit : the smileys were shown by default in the previous version of VF Mod and, with version 1.59, it needs to be activated first in the options. Afterwards, you'll have to add the desired features (by drag & drop) from the tool window to your bar.
-
@Ornorm @GoldNoway Don't forget to save the settings and reload the V Forum tab for the settings to be displayed.
-
@hlehyaric Of course!!!!!
-
@ornorm Sometimes, we forget basic things such as «Save» and to reload the tab
(je sais de quoi je parle, ça m'est déjà arrivé…)
-
@hlehyaric You're more than right! Quite obvious but easy to forget (I made the same mistake as well in the past).
-
Out of curiosity, is there anyone here who always has at least one forum page open at all times, or do you all close the tabs once you're finished?
e.g. I always have it lingering in a web panel
-
@lonm I have one tab open during the session that I close every evening and I open one each morning.
-
@lonm I have it open all the time (one pinned and two in a tab stack).
-
I'm considering hardening up a userscript I've been using for a while that converts forum alerts into HTML5 notifications (which can in turn be converted to native OS notifications, and pop into a notification centre / make alert sounds / etc.).
E.g. on windows:
That's only really interesting for people that always have a tab open, though.
-
@lonm We get tab notifications for that. Do they still not work in panel?
-
@lonm I have a web panel, too.
-
@luetage Tab notifications don't ding and show on top when I'm in another view (tab or application).
I get that this is probably of far less interest than, say, emoticons and would probably annoy many other users.
