@ghpy bloatware? what are you talking about? please explain
-
Option to Auto-hide Tab bar when position on Left/Right
Only show the tab bar when mouse touch the screen edge, so we got more screen space when browsing website (which the Tab bar are not needed).
-
@dude99 If you want this right now it's possible. You have to run a custom modification though.
How to implement it: https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/10549/modding-vivaldi
Code:#tabs-container.right:hover { width: 150px !important; opacity: 1; } #tabs-container.right { width: 8px !important; opacity: 0; transition: opacity 0.6s ease-out; }
This works, but you obviously have to play around with the numbers until it fits your needs. The only downside is that you won't be able to change the width of the tab bar anymore once it is set.

@hondac I'd rather the focus be on making the browser as secure as possible. Leave it to add-ins like LastPass (that specialize in secure password management and use) to add that functionality.
Why add this to every browser and tool to be tested, managed and updated separately?
Just my opinion.

@eugenesv said in Feature requests for 1.11:
Allow selectively hide extension buttons on the toolbar just like in Chrome (currently you can only hide all of them)
Actually you can. Right click on extension > hide button.
Or I misunderstood your request? -
@Yakoot You're welcome
-
Do not add URL to the History if this URL redirected to another (like Firefox and Chrome do).
When I open google.com, through few redirects Vivaldi opens google.[regional_zone] and adds all URLs from redirect chain to the History instead of adding just the last URL.Sorry for my bad English.

@jumpsq
On horizontal tree style expansion and option to auto unload/hibernate child tabs when collapsed -
@Rokanishu This, is first thing I noticed after switching from firefox and Treetabs.
Just wanted to request this myself. -
@axander Inbox folder for bookmarks for later sorting would definitely be great.
-
I would like to be able to search for folders when I add bookmarks. I have at least 100 folders and navigating that listbox is painful. At least allow us to make the window larger and increase the indenting between parent/child folders
-
Session Menu + Session manager/list in side panel or as extra button (can be near trash on tabs), simple but efficient.
List + new session button.
Sessions would auto save tabs within.- option to ignore pinned tabs (as in always on).
Would love option to easily switch between whatever I'm working on and keep various things organized.
I tend to open loads of tabs I only need in certain conditions, standard sessions managers are too much effort or i keep forgetting about them.
- option to ignore pinned tabs (as in always on).
-
F2 Customization - what shows/is searched what doesnt.
Or at least or at least option to prioritize some stuff. -
Group tabs Button showing up after selecting multiple tabs. On one of selected tabs or next to trash.
-
App launcher in side panel - simple icon + title list would be nice.
Atm it's difficult to find chrome applications for new users. (vivaldi://apps) -
Hovering popup for Folders in Speed Dial or some sort of Expand/Collapse.
Seeing how we can create new labels changing pages for folders feels pointless. (That said for labels/sections in speed dial right of the bat) -
Integrate Vivaldi icon + window management to address bar.
There's a lot space that's wasted on page title
k not expecting it early, though would love to see it as planned featureBtw, switched yesterday and loving it, this is what opera shoul have become after switching to chromium
-
@ashton - Can you clarify this a bit? What apps do you want to launch? Vivaldi isn't a desktop environment. "dinf"?
-
@Hadden89 I meant "hide like in Chrome", where the button doesn't disappear from the toolbar completely, but instead is hidden in a group of hidden buttons, where you need to make one extra click to access it). This is great for rarely (but not never) used extension buttons
