Can someone confirm that searching from the search field (secondary) does not open search resultat in a NEW TAB when the option for search in a new tab is ticked?
regression confirmed, I also have Always search in new tab ticked, but opens in new tab only with alt-enter.

@ahoj1234: yes, nice feature. but my trash bin was also empty after update
-
@13.beta2 that can happen because there were some vivaldi exe active in memory, make sure after closing vivaldi there are no vivaldi.exe in task manager (ctrl-shift-esc)
-
Its not possible to install new styles on userstyles.org. Can anyone confirm it?

Wow, opening and closing tab animations!!! They're not perfect, maybe a little sluggish, but it's a start!

- Search history cannot be displayed after visiting settings (VB-28319)
Confirmed working ok in the search field, search keywords dropdown activates correctly by clicking the down arrow icon, aswell as shift-cursordown, even after closing the settings tab

@ian-coog: it's doing even when you shut down the PC (or restart it if you want).
So at least there is an issue with closing/saving session etc… it wasn't a problem till last build from the last build it's almost 50/50 -
"[Speed Dial] Remove column limit (VB-14689)"
thx!

Indeed. I was checking the log and was like yeah finally! But after testing I must say that something is not workking well at least on my pc. My previous setting for column was 6 now with 8 I'm getting only 7 columns. Anything above 10 or none has no impact?! Also the zoom slider on speeddial is locked to 100% and greyed out. Is this supposed to be the right way it works or mybe a bug?! Any body else having this problem?
btw Now I'm waiting for mouse gestures sensitivity setting to make it perfect.

@marekano The zoom is not for the Vivaldi UI, but for regular webpages. And about the columns, you only get to have more if you have enough screen real estate -- try expanding your window beyond your screen width and you will see that more columns are being shown. There is currently no official way to make the actual dials smaller, other than zooming the whole Vivaldi UI in settings.

thank you~ good jobbbbbb!!!!!
i'm expecting -
@opopjh: Congrats! Boy or girl?

@yamiryuuzero: I've only ever been able to get 4 wide Speed Dial, and even setting to 10, I still only get 4.
I'd set it to FVD Speed Dial as the extension I use in Chrome, but it just keeps bringing up reloading Speed Dials, which of course slows you down a tad. -
Lost my vivaldi button also.
But never mind, I found mine again

Toggle images from the keyboard! Yippee - Thank you. I missed this for a long time since OldeOpera days.

"[Speed Dial] Prevent secondary buttons to reorder speed dial (VB-28382)"
THANK YOU!!!! -
@luetage: That confused me as well. I thought setting 10 columns would show 10 tiles wide. Not. The most I can get is 7 when the panel is closed. I'd rather see 10 columns no matter the screen size. I.e. the tiles should shrink.
-
@marekano: The Speed Dial will display the max number of columns it can - if your resolution is wide enough for more than 6, it will display 7, 8, 9, 10, etc, but if not, it will limit itself to a lower number regardless of your settings.
Here's a fun test: take your Vivaldi out of the maximized window, open the Speed Dial and change the window size a few times to see what I mean.
Long story short, the Speed Dial has a static zoom that is NOT separated from the UI, meaning you'll only get as many columns as your resolution (+ UI Zoom settings) allow. I believe they'll change this in the future, but as of now, this is how it rolls.
