Slect & copy specific row/column in table

I'm wondering, why such great browser do not have feature from Firefox, for selecting only specific rows/column in table.
In FF you are able with pressed ctrl/cmd select only for example 1st two columns without rest of table and copy/paste it somewhere else. I really miss this feature.
There exists extension for chrome, however I thing, that this feature should be part of basic functionality without needs of install extension for it.
