Vivaldi 1.9 – Plant trees as you browse

@paulojrmam You seem to have copied the link address from someone's pasted URL.
Problem is when people do that the
%s
ends up encoded as%25s
because of the forum software. It's not really your fault, people posting search definitions as links should know better...Copy and paste the following into the search definition and it should work.
https://www.ecosia.org/search?tt=dccf112d&q=%s
https://ac.ecosia.org/autocomplete?q=%s&type=list
EDIT: Not really sure what the value of the
tt
parameter should be. I just have always hadvivaldi
, it seems to change from time to time.dccf112d
seems to be the current one though. -
@paulojrmam @Pathduck is right. Your link does not end in %s. It ends in %25s.
-
@Ayespy Yeah, I figured that out. But even when I replace %25s with %s, it still doesn't work, it searches for %s instead. And now even my own linke doesn't work after having pasted it here and copying from here. lol So weird.
-
@paulojrmam Did you paste it in the omnibox and replace the %s with a search term? I have to wonder if you have some extension interfering with normal function - or if you have your addressbar settings set to the normal ones.
-
@Ayespy I was pasting it in the notepad to change. If I change it in the omnibox they work.
-
@paulojrmam That being the case, they should work when entered verbatim into the Search settings as well.

With the new feature of translating of Vivaldi 3.8, I found out my link apparently was a default of the browser too, reading this link (in japanese?!):

I liked the sound Ecosia at first. But look at this video of theirs. My alarm bells start ringing, when Westerners go abroad to "empower communities".
