Snapshot 1.3.519.25 - Color picker for themes and more…
-
Stable sees fewer needs to refresh a profile than do Snapshots. Still, the browser requires a good deal of refinement, and this or that extension can still bollux things up. Still, refreshing a profile is not starting over. Most of the time you can move all of your critical data back into the profile and keep going. It's an 8-15 minute process at most, and may need to be done once in six months (or in my case, once in 18 months). The more mature the browser gets, the more scarce this suggestion will be. The most frequent case is someone who keeps installing over the top of an older release frequently and, while doing so, installs and uninstalls a lot of extensions. Most people who eventually refresh a profile will probably never do it again.

Opera (Beta 39), with the same open tabs, generates roughly half the activity.
-
Confirmed, close button "X" does not work, have to click several times to close a tab.
And when it finally closes, the remaining tabs will stretch for a few seconds and then get back to normal size.
Definitely a bug, very annoying. -
Stretch for me too.
-
How to restore the tab of loading page progressing bar?? It used to appear in previous built, now gone.
-
There is some nasty memory leak in this build. I get ram to 100% like twice a day. This did not happen in previous build.
Win10 64 V32 8 GB ram -
Confirmed. Very annoying.
Viv x64, Win10 x64.
-
It's normal here.
Viv x64, Win10 x64.

It occurs to me eventually, even if I click "Save as", Viv doesn't open the place for you choose to download and save the file in default one.
It did again a couple of days ago when I bought games in Humble Bundle store and went to download them.
Viv x64, Win10 x64.

They don't mention every change in the changelog. That said, checking the "Readability" box doesn't appear to do anything, so it may be there in error.
-
I find it particularly useful when typing something lengthy or delicate in some form or webpage and I want to prevent accidentally closing the tab I am working on
-
Thanks for confirming this. It's a old bug, from the alpha or pre-release days still I think; that is why I am curious as to why it never got fixed.
My guess is that it's just low priority unfortunately. As a frequent Tiddlywiki user this renders it unusable with Vivaldi -
Ugh, is this still happening?
Delete the "top sites" files in your Vivaldi Profile folder. I'll add this to my next snapshot report, since it's a major bug.
-
It's a pity. If they were, my problems would be fixed.
-
I wouldn't get my hopes up too much. Opera had it for several builds and it never got fixed nor even acknowledged, as far as I know. But it's been a few months since I entirely stopped using Opera so I'm not sure if any progress was made on that front.
-
Amen!
Apart from the possibility of ever switching to edge, that would never happen
-
In spite of the mechanical damage, I have recovered more than 95% of the data I want. I found a position the drive could run in, where the bearing friction was reduced and it could run longer without overheating. I could keep it up for an hour at at time. As a result, I have everything I absolutely need, and nearly everything I want. It's not the end of the world.
-
Notes are still broken for me. Browser freezes after any change in any note. Sometimes it goes back to life, sometimes not. W10 x64, 32-bit Vivaldi.
-
Good move! But I want a browser uses Presto.Oh,no!
-
Sorry about that, have you already filed a bug report on vivaldi.com/bugreport ? If so what is the VB-number you received? Thanks for being patient with us.
