Snapshot 1.1.443.3 - New tab options
-
I just deleted my user data folder, and it works as expected now. I've done three separate clean installs, so it must be some combination of options that I'm ticking. I thought maybe it was a flag that I was ticking, but the last profile I set up, I didn't even enter the flags section.
-
Yea that improved the responsiveness a little but still vivaldis ui feels the slowest off all the browsers i'm currently testing
-
Window size is not remembered on Gnome 3.20 running under Wayland display server. I use Arch linux.
-
This page scrolls all right for me. Asus mini-laptop w touchscreen.
-
Mine doesn't. Foxit opens as per usual.
-
Why my extensions stopped to be clickable ater this update?

"Check for Updates" stays unreliable! What's the official answer?
I'm not complaining; I'm not demanding a fix; it's just a minor problem. But, I'd just like to know!
When I select the item "Check for Updates" in the Vivaldi main menu, sometimes I get a popup that indicates whether there is a newer version available or not. But, sometimes, I get no popup. Is this a known bug? Or does it happen only to me?
-
I know there used to be a bug on the Mac that the popup hides behind the Vivaldi main window. But, that bug has been fixed for a long time. I'm not talking about it now. When I say there is no popup, I check if it is hiding somewhere. It's not.
-
No, I don't install any official beta version or final release of Vivaldi. I just want to stay in the snapshot stream. I only install Vivaldi either from this blog or from the "Check for Updates" popup.
Finally, I searched the forum but didn't find any discussion about this issue. (It may well be that I didn't use good key words for the search . . . )
Mac OS 10.11.4 .

Open Links in Current Tab Stack–-Nice! Thank you!
But, I want it to go further. If the current tab doesn't belong to a stack, this new feature should create a stack out of the current tab and the one which is being opened.
Probably this feature shouldn't be the default but will be a useful option to some users. I asked it some time ago here and I saw at least one other user did the same, too.
-
I've not seen this complained of before.
-
+1 for RSS reader too !
-
It's just a quality of life improvement, but yeah, I'd like this feature too (not quite the most urgent thing in the todo though).
-
Not being open-source seems to be a major blocker from all the linux guys. Plus, having so many different requests would make open-source an ideal way to "address them all", no?
Anyway, was just a naive childish comment… -
all i want is adaptable mouse gesture, please please please[s[color=blue]ize=16px]

big thanks from me too! I also think that a little bit further work would be great. For example: the behavior now having a tiled tab stack of two tabs is if you close one tab and then drag another one into the stack, it immediately gets tiled again - that's great! The cool thing would be to for example "shift+click" on a link inside the stack and it opens in the tab-stack (tiled). Sorry for the confusing explanation. I hope you get what I want to say.
Thx for your hard work and keep on! -
Hi
A little bug is not very important, but boring:
When I delete the history using the tray symbol, the thistory seems to bei deleted.
But when I write a URL the visited history URLs are listed / proposed.
Thanks for your great work.
Best regards from Switzerland -
That's fine if you want to incidentally use another search engine. But if you always use the same search engine, it's not particularly user friendly to always have to type something in front of every search. So you want to set that search engine as your default. Well we have two search bars up there (search bar & address bar) so it should be possible to set two defaults. That's what this add-on re-enables (it used to be standard for Firefox). Otherwise, what's the point of having two search bars?

Wladisha: "Fourthly - when refreshing a page, I would like the page to scroll to my last position. Currently it goes to the start of page."
My comment to this has been wrongly placed. And the Edit button doesn't seem to work…
...
Later:
Hmm, now I find my original comment was edited after all, w/o my realizing it! Now this comment is in the wrong place... In it, I had written that when I refresh this page Vivaldi goes to the top of the page with my search term highlighted in the Search field, then after a while it jumps back to where I was (nowhere near any example of my search term).
A mix of good and bad, then. I wonder where this will end up... -
So far I have noticed that on some pages it jumps back to my previous position, and on others it doesn't.
For example, this very page. The most it jumps to is the start of the comments. There I notice "comments loading", and after they load - nothing. I remain where I was, to scroll down by myself.
