Snapshot 1.1.443.3 - New tab options
-
Hmm hmm, how do i add a shortcut for search engines? Like G is for google.com, can't seem to find such thing in the options.
Edit: I don't know what happened, but i closed and re-opened Options and the Nickname field was there again, wasn't there a moment ago o.O

If you drag the scroll button in Print Preview, you can see the page numbers as a tool tip while dragging. Zoom in a bit to easily read the text, then note the page numbers as you scroll down to the place of interest that you wish to print.

Win7 64, 8 Gig mem, Viv 64 Switched
Sorry so I'm dense..I have no idea what you are talking about. With Ctl-P I have no print preview box..can't find one anywhere. Also Crashed Viv TWICE exiting out of print screen, have 1.8 G of FREE Memory. The scroll bar that goes down the right side of the print screen. If I go to the lower right of page a make full page size and zoom controls are there. My BIG problems are, as so many OTHER screens, is seeing the scroll bars etc so many times they are so close the the same washed out color I can't tell…I'm sure it's in my setup. With old Opera I used to use gold on black on screen ...easy on eyes and stood out.
On settings I have Appearance: Native, Light, use page theme color and color active tab..help?

Win7 64, Viv64
Had several mysterious close tabs and a few crashes, have plenty of memory. I'll try clearing my profile when I get time. Think I had some of the same problems before I switched to 64.

Actually I can highlight texts, drag & drop it into the adressbar and it automatically searches in my deafualt search engine…

That feature overview of Vivaldi is the best one I've seen yet.
-
I can confirm, though I stopped when the Task Manager's main line for Vivaldi reached nearly 1GB after about two minutes. W8.1, 4GB RAM (1Ghz processor)

I now see I posted the wrong link to the How-To Geek review. This one takes you to the review itself rather than the 'discussion':

My apologies. -
Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't know it was possible, but it's a great feature.
-
I just noticed I cannot download from MEGA using Vivaldi. In chrome, when I click on "download with browser", a popup appears where I can allow such a connection, and the download starts afterwards. In Vivaldi no such popup appears.
-
For which search engines or websites?
-
Bookmark vivaldi://history/ vivaldi://bookmarks/ and vivaldi://downloads or whatever stuff you want to see in a tab. Give them nicknames to easily access them with the keyboard.
Settings showing as Tab can be set in the settings -
Definitely not all people.
I've switched sync off in almost everything I have installed or possess and definitely in all browsers that are capable of that - but I would really love to have a fully working integrated Mail client in my browser. -
Really great browser. I hope that in following releases, we coult edit options on javascript like "enable contextual menu with right clik" and others.
-
Works here. Do you have an extension that might be blocking it?
-
I also noticed high cpu and memory load. But when i tested it with Firefox, it behaved nearly the same…
-
Something really wrong with handling localhost cookies. If the name of the cookie on localhost is the same as one of the online cookies, they have the same value.
-
I only use Ghostery and Notifycon. Same thing happens with both disabled.
-
I don't understand this waiting for Vivaldi Sync. Will you use it on more than 1 computer?
Oh defenitely. Two computers at home, one at work with a native OS and one in a VM. In the future I'd love to have my tabs also on my mobile (Android/Ubuntu) phone like with Chromium or Opera. Can't wait!
