Vivaldi probably has the best vision of all browsers. But performance is such a huge let down that I am starting to doubt that things will change anytime soon if ever. It only takes a few minutes of using chrome or opera for one to notice what a huge advantage those have over Vivaldi in terms of snappiness.
I've been long wondering about this. On my platform, Vivaldi is snappy! At least as fast as Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. I'm using a MacBook Pro from 2013, and Mac Mini and MacBook Air from 2014, all with OS 10.11.3.
What's going on? Is Mac special in this regard? Or, perhaps your machines are so devastating fast that you notice differences that are small on my machines?

If you have multiple monitors and Vivaldi is running full screen on one, that is probably exactly what most people want. The task manager appearing in another window.
Yes! But what if you are using only one screen? Currently the full-screen Vivaldi opens the Task Manager full-screen and as a result the Task-Manager window becomes a new "page" next to the Vivaldi's "page." (I don't know the official Mac terminology for "page". I hope you understand what I mean. In my original post, I called it "desktop". I didn't mean other monitor.)
The full screen mode is extremely useful even on a single monitor. You swipe your fingers on the track pad to move to the "next" or "previous" full screen app, as you do on a tablet or smart phone.
I can't experiment now with multiple monitors and I forgot exactly what happened when I wrote my original message. What does Vivaldi do in that case? Put Vivaldi into the full-screen mode (not Vivaldi's but OS's native fullscreen mode) and open the Task Manager. Does it go to the other monitor?
P.S. Vivaldi doesn't allow me to edit my own post. Click on the "Edit" icon and nothing happens. I'm revising this post of mine on Firefox.

Aha! I didn't know that or suspect it. I've just confirmed that you are right. Thank you for your help!

Why am I getting downvotes? I don't think what I wrote is offensive or false or rude. Folks, tell me how I should improve what I wrote.

stop caring about votes :p
How many tabs do you have opened? Do you use web panels? Do you use and have many of Notes/Downloads/Bookmarks? How about extensions?
Each of these may help you to notice the difference.
I have much more powerful machine than you and Vivaldi isn't smooth. OS shouldn't make noticable change so the only thing I can think of is just how do you and me use the browser.
Using clean profile is much more snappier than my current profile.

Perfect analogy … It just feels lifeless

I would like sorting as you describe as an option.

Could you guys please add "Add Page to Bookmarks" option to the right click menu when we are in a page? It's handy for users that don't use address bar.
I like this.
And would be cool to indicate somehow the directory hierarchy when we choose where save the bookmark in its dropdown menu. The folders could be indicated as bold font or another visual way, to distinguish from bookmarks themselves.
Isn’t this the way it is currently? Right now in the drop-down only folders are listed? I'd love it if they were nested, or listed alphabetically, or auto-complete worked on them to make it much easier to find the proper place to place the bookmark.
