Snapshot 1.0.385.5 - Changes to tab opening and closing behaviour
-
English only please.
-
Green cannot be seen.
-
Feature Request: Please, make vivaldi:apps compatible to the web panel view. This would be really handy! Are the apps updated similarly to what chrome does?
-
[BUG] What happened to SPATIAL NAVIGATION? Up and down arrows don't work…
-
Thank you for your help! That's exactly the information I needed. I like how it's easy to switch profiles. I was afraid that I may have to search my home directory .
-
Ruari, it's not really an issue, more of a suggestion. I figured that since you went to all the trouble of having such fine levels of tab relationships, it would make sense to give some visual feedback. To be honest, it's not super important to me, since I can just go back to the legacy behavior anyway, but I did think that this was a gap in your design decision.

Feature request: Global "No images" switch or something to disable expensive things.
Context: I'm on a slow and pay-per-traffic network now! So, it would be nice if there were a button to minimize traffic as much as possible for all tabs. When Vivaldi disables expensive things, it would show boxes in their places; and a click on such a box would enable the corresponding "thing".
When I move to a place where fast and free Internet is available, I just click on the button again to enable all expensive things.
I know images aren't so expensive even on a pay-per-traffic network, but on a slow network, images are annoying, especially when I just want to read text on the web.

In the later versions I find I'm missing some sort of network activity indicator. An animation that indicates that there's a network activity ongoing.
Sometimes I'm wondering if the page is being loaded at all or if all the scripts have finished loading and there is no way to tell except for opening the debugger.
This rudimentary activity, that existed in the very first browsers with animated logos, I still find an indispensable part of a web browser. -
I don't mean to bug you with this (boom boom), but in the previous snapshot's comments some of us noted the change in Quick Commands behaviour (it used to treat nicknames much more pro-actively shall we say! Now it doesn't even highlight the nickname when partially or fully typed). Is there any word on what the plan is here? It changed without even a mention and I found it very useful!
-
Same for me. Win10 x64, vivaldi 64bit.
-
I second that and suggest that could have something too when the address bar is not activated.
-
Yeah, it's practically with no use these latest releases… I hope it'd be something temporary, already in adjustment for what is necessary.
-
Sorry for not respond earlier, Ruario. I was pretty busy with work and l overlooked your response since there was a lot of comments after.
I'm in Brazil and eventually, besides that problem of downloading, a "502 Bad Gateway" message appears and the pages with the Vivaldi's domain don't load.

Using Google translate this is the only way maybe I can help him out.
BROWSER VERY HOROSHIY.SPASIBO RAZRABOTCHIKAM.ODIN QUESTION How can I change in the EXPRESS Panel Size VKLADOK.S respect Alexander.

Any improvements to bookmarks in the foreseeable future?
-
Where does it say that Vivaldi doesn't use Chromium's sandboxing?
-
A strange thing happens with Vivaldi and Google Docs. I signed into Gmail with an account that hadn't been used in Vivaldi, instead of the one showing. Then from gmail, I opened Google Docs. It threw up a new login page with both accounts. But when I clicked on the added account, it showed the other one, time after time. I've got our other browsers that work with Docs - Opera 35, Slimjet, FF and IE11 - and this has never happened with any of them - and didn't when I tried another. Not sure what to make of it.
-
Am I missing something again …what happened to sound indicator on tab?
-
I have it. Where do you not have it?
-
Right now Vivaldi extensions and apps are Chrome extensions and apps. There is no separate writing or maintenance of them at this time.
