Snapshot 1.0.334.3 - Fixes for tab title cropping and Windows XP
-
I just tried to use the panel bar. Then I noticed that some panels would not open (even Bookmarks and Downloads) . Sometimes a panel will open if you click several times. Or if you open other panel(s) first… Seems to be completely random.
Been like this since the "Hide Title" function was introduced.
I tried the Toggle images function on the Status Bar and selected No Images. It works on the current page, but if I load another page, all images are shown.
Is that correct?
(the indicator on the status bar indicates "No Images" for all subsequent pages)Win7x64 Vx32

I suggest using zoom on those pages.

The creation of custom search engines is still broken in most sites
Keep the good work -
Thanks for fixing VB-10715. However, my problem is not resolved completely. When I hit "A" key 2 times after I set again focus to Vivaldi, the appending text is "aあ", not "ああ".
(first character is direct-inputed and not through IME)

BUG: When you enter more than one word in the address bar, address bar dropdown doesn't show up.
Please, fix this bug!

VB-5475 Find-in-page bar overlaps page content
I wish you hadn't fixed that. If the page content moves it is distracting. In Opera 12.17 I set the Find in Page toolbar at the bottom for that reason.
-
Nice to see improvements on the autocomplete, it has been nagging me.
However it's still not perfect.Example:
1. First go to https://vivaldi.net/en-US
2. Then you go to http://vivaldi.net/en-US (Notice it's not https)
3. Go back to https://vivaldi.net/en-US
4. Now, if I go to the addressfield and change https to http, the cursor now suddenly go to the end of the address.Step 1. and 2. is only to get Vivaldi to save the two addresses in history, and is not part of the bug.
The https/http part is just an example. You can do the same for other part of the URL.The cursor should never change, when I have focus in the addressbar.

Not using any addons at all.
First time i started vivaldi, i had 3-4 extra bookmark items at the bottom, all empty titles, selecting one selected all 3-4.
Next vivaldi start i had no bookmarks, no notes, no web panel, all empty.
Restart and they are back.
And tab strange behaviour. Its not repeatable so far, bookmarks did not disappear till then, bugs without pattern are hard to follow.

VB-5475 Find-in-page bar overlaps page content
Noo! Now all the content moves when I start searching. I personally hate that…
It can also start multiple resizing events on the page (because of the transition), resulting in performance issues on slow devices.
Even a single resize event can cause performance issues on heavy sites. -
One small (but annoying) issue:
If you click on a menu item when the Vivaldi window does not have the focus, the menu will open - and close immediately. So you have to click again. (Been like this since the beginning of Vivaldi. Other browsers are OK).

An option to move it to the bottom is better than nothing, but it does not solve the resize issues, that I have written about a couple of posts below.
-
The functionality you are talking about can be done both with and without the overlaying search bar.
We acknowledge that some people prefer this method.
But there are reasons that it's not a good idea as well. -
This snapshot seems to be even more broken than the previous one. Sometimes pages become black and you can't reload them. Please, fix this as soon as possible. Thanks.
UPDATE: I watched a video on youtube, then after switching to another tab and back to the youtube one, it became black. I closed the tab, but I could still hear the sound from the video even though the tab was closed. I closed vivaldi and started it again. Now it decided to open every single page from the trash menu in the top right corner of the screen (about 20 tabs were opened and had to be closed manually). Geez.

In settings, go to Keyboard and deselect "Disable Single Key Shortcuts". Now go to the keyboard shortcut entry in Page and find "Find in Page". You'll notice that the entries are "Ctrl+f" and ".". Now go back to your browser and try to use "Ctrl+f". It works fine. Good. Now try to use ".". It doesn't work. Now go back to the same keyboard shortcut in Settings and try to add "/" as a replacement (or addition if you like) to ".". It comes out as a blank blue entry, as if not recognised. It won't work in the browser either when you try it. If you try to add "." in Settings, it won't even do anything.
I tried doing this in a virgin profile (stopped Vivaldi, renamed User Data, then started Vivaldi), but it still didn't work. This is the 32-bit version of Vivaldi running on Windows 8.1 64-bit.
Other than that, keep up the good work.

BUGS Linux 64-bit
1. Cannot search without tags (like g,y,a,wa etc.) from address bar anymore: the browser think it is a URL.
2. Since 330 does not prompt to save passwords. -
What OS are you on? Do you have NVidia video card?

Do you have NVidia video card?
-
Yes. Nvidia GeForce GT 240.

I am still having a problem with the settings & bookmarks reverting to factory defaults. They will remain occasionally but sometimes go back to stock and I will end up with multiple copies of all the stock bookmarks.
I am using the Win7 32bit version on a Win7 64bit OS. -
GMX Mail extension still doesn't work.
