Snapshot 1.0.252.3 - Typed history dropdown, more polish on Web-panels and Extensions… and smooth scrolling
-
Since we made you wait a little for the last snapshot, we decided to throw out a update a bit quicker this time. Fixes to extensions, vertical tabs and Quick Commands, web panel improvements, a prettier preferences page and typed history.
-
Thank you for VB-8343
But there is still a problem with ui not at 100% that extensions popups are too small. -
The typed history is nice. Thanks for that
Some ideas to improve it:
- make it available on each click arrow down, not only if the address bar is empty.
- add an icon for users that like the mouse more than the keyboard.
- add a X at the end of each line to remove that line.
-
Thanks alot for the quick fix for the right sided tabs!
Really great to see this browser develop so quickly! -
Typed history is nice, but we need the drop down arrow, to allow a mouse only navigation.
-
That's great, thank's for work and good luck for the next snapshot.

HI. E-MAIL CLIENS? Please. DATE?

Thanks for the good job! Are there any news regarding the synchronization? The browser tempts me more and more to plunge into personal customization, but the last time when I spent effort to do this - almost all of my settings were lost after a bad update and now I still do not dare to keep it as default browser (with all bookmarks, notes, dials used) without a synchronization or at least 'Export data' option, which is also not available. I am sure that I am not the only one who holds on because of this reason and this feature seems more crucial than the GUI improvements.
Regarding the comments for today: I second the 'add an icon for users that like the mouse more than the keyboard' proposal - a floating icon in address bar that appears on empty address field only (as it works for the bookmarks icon in case of populated url) will be a great feature. -
The back button is nice, reload was already available with right click. The downside is that you took away vertical space by placing the buttons below the title of webpanel. Could you place them beside it? On a 15'' screen the second row really hurts.
-
This is probably caused by the OS. Microsoft is doing the same to Google Chrome x64, see e.g.:
http://www.computerworld.com/article/2973455/web-browsers/latest-windows-10-preview-cripples-64-bit-chrome.htmlThat would be the 4th damaged or damaging update since W10 was released to the public.
Feel free to complain at microsoft.com - I already did, simply because they have earned it by now for their poor quality management. -
I want that "E-post" in Settings too
It can be in Norwegian, I don't mind!

Extensions still have to be re-enabled every time browser is restarted. Other than that everything has been working good for me over here. Windows 10(64bit os) 32Bit Vivaldi. Keep up the great work. I just had a feeling on my drive to work this morning that there would be a new build waiting for me. Thanks again!

Agreed (and I have already discussed this).
Navigation inside the webpanel is almost unneded, while the vertical space is precious.
My vote is to use the main navigation buttons for webpanel navigation.

Ever since the last update, when i try to watch a flash video (example: https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10153574796258896&fallback=1 ) it tells me a flash player upgrade is required. But then when i follow the link to do that, it says:
"Note: Adobe Flash Player is already installed, but disabled. Click here for more information."
But i don't know how to re-enable it… Can anyone tell me how? Thanks

Thanks for the update ! Am-I the only one with smooth scroll here, because it appeared with this snapshot ? I also notice that even if the web panel aren't open, there is still a process for each one. Don't know if this is normal or not but it would be nice that the process doesn't open until the web panel is activated.

No, Ruario just forgot to mention that it had been enabled for this build. Enjoy!
-
What extensions need to be enabled?
-
Yeah it is updated now. Sorry!
-
Oops, I gave away too much with an internal screen shot!
-
Is there a way to disable smooth scrolling?
