Is it safe to assume known issue #2 "Tabs on the side are broken" will be fixed some time soon? This feature is pretty much why I have been using Vivaldi, and why I won't be using it for now
-
Great update, very stable; thanks!
One regression: the "New Tab" mouse gesture is broken if you do it on a link. It opens the Speed Dial in a new tab. It should open the link URL in a new tab and this worked (most of the time) in the previous versions. (Win7 SP1 x64)
(Edit: sorry, already mentioned by ws79 and others) -
Confirmed, Win7 SP1 x64
-
BUG: Insert text extension is not work Not insert my texts into the text fields
-
looks like a browser now.) I have working Hangouts now!
i hope tabbar is fixed, cause sometimes tabs disappeared on moving -
bookmark bar : Lt click open in new tab instead the same tab
mouse gesture : new tab bug ( it's reopen now)
tnx -
BUG: Sometimes (<10% of the time) opening link in current tab results in this new page not being loaded (still shows content of previous page), but it seems to load data (shown in new loading indicator and the URL and UI color change). Upon reload, the same happens. If I click on another tab and back again, the content is now black.
If I close this tab and open a new tab, the link will open fine.Win7x64 Vx32

How do I add a plugin?
The current Flash plugin 18.0.0.232 as loaded in Chrome is located at
C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\44.0.2403.155\PepperFlash\pepflashplayer.dllbut Vivaldi is picking up the Adobe version at
C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\pepflashplayer32_17_0_0_134.dllHow do I load the Chrome version of the plugin?
Do I have to uninstall Flash from my computer, reboot and leave Vivaldi to find the Chrome version?
Vista 32
TIA

Sorry, but
CTRL+SCROLL(MMB) do not work for zoom page. How it is possible? -
Finally Alt+letter shortcuts for menus, although almost never working (and shortcut letters in menu items are underscored only after selecting or hovering mouse over them). Hope they will be polished in one of next builds.
And will we ever see a title bar showing page title? Or nobody at Vivaldi understands importance of it?
-
According to @Christoph142 For now you are supposed to use ctrl+shift+scroll. However, when I do that, it only zooms out, regardless of which way I move the scroll wheel, so I'm not really sure.

Is it just for me or do others see the blog index page as broken now in Opera 12.17?
https://vivaldi.net/blogs/teamblog/
It is fine in Vivaldi, but in Opera, Firefox, and IE11 the Downloads panel overlays the blog heading and the large image is misplaced.

Confirmed (Opera 12.17 and IE9)
Win7x64

Vivaldi (x64) is not working on latest Windows 10 build (10525). Application is no starting but it's in the memory, no errors, windows, etc. Running Vivaldi with flag no-sandbox helps.
-
Great to see that extensions are "moving". Sadly my #1 extension, Xmarks, still doesn't work.
I can install, the icon shows up in the nav bar but I cannot login or run the setup wizard.
Oh, well, maybe you guys can look into this… please. -
You can fix the tabs bug by toggling UI, no need to restart. You can lookup the shortcut for this in settings/keyboard/view. Is probably ctrl F11 on Windows, it's cmd F11 on os x.

Looks very good. This is an important and big step for Vivaldi. Unfortunately the problem with adding tasks in Wunderlist.com has not been solved. Anyway, nice to see progress.

Open URL in new tab does not work! Win 10 x64
-
same problem here. Fonts are totally washed out. Shouldn't the scaling via the preferences option avoid this problem?

On Extensions: Please do not make the firefox mistake and put everything into the core. Extensions are fine.
The old opera was just nice, but it had a lot of functionality, a browser needs. A recent firefox adds support for voip, pocket, and so on, what only a fraction of users actually need. But it may be vulnerable, like the pdf.js problem recently showed.
So having many things in extensions (espcially if they are cross-browser with chromium) is actually a good idea. Not sure, if chromium extensions are the best of all, as they are not so powerful like firefox' ones. Maybe vivaldi will extend the chromium extension-api a bit? For example moving around the extension buttons instead of just adding them at the right until you cannot see the url bar anymore ;).
