Snapshot 1.0.209.3 More visual improvements and better mouse support
-
Bug: Tabbar>Right: Tabs don't shrink to fit vertical window size.
When the Tabbar is Left/Right, as more tabs are added, they don't shrink in size to fit the vertical window space. Instead, they simply march off the bottom and become invisible.
Plus, if you have Panels open on the other side to the Tabs, as more tabs are added beyond the Vivaldi window, those Panels will also extend off the bottom of Vivaldi window. Scrollbars on those panels behave as though the window size is increasing.

The "cheat sheet" is a strange construct. The keyboard is used to open it but then it doesn't seem to have keyboard focus (I can't "Tab" to the filter entry) and can't be operated by keyboard (couldn't find a way to switch pages using keyboard).
And even though keyboard shortcuts received substantial love in this snapshot, there is still none available for "Go to Homepage"

Ah, okay, thanks. My bad not reading all the comments, I later saw it was indeed mentioned.
-
a tiny display bug: on the little popup that shows up when clkicking on the "blocked popup"-icon in the adress field the dark skin isn't applied correctly.
-
windows phone would be better. windows doesnt have much browsers to choose from.
-
pressing left mouse button+wheel up/down = zoom in/out
this feels very handynot if you like to select a lot of text on the page, lol

Does anyone know if the improvements recently announced by Chrome in terms of power consumption on OS X are going to be implemented in Vivaldi as well?
The difference in terms of power usage between Safari and all others is too big to disregard, so I'm keeping Safari as my 1st choice, but Vivaldi's performance is great so I'd like to change asap.
Thanks. -
We are using Chromium as a base. So whichever improvements they do, we'll get them, too.

Hey everybody,
we won't publish a build today since it's only been 2 workdays since last one, but if nothing major shows up, you will get a fresh one tomorrow. -
Good to hear.
-
bah!

Not sure if requested already, but on Mac, please make it so that when double-clicking on the tab bar the browser will fully maximize rather than minimizing to the dock. Constantly resizing manually is pretty tiring especially with the bug that keeps the browser at default size at every restart.

vivaldi link on the desktop open Torch after install Torch

Confirmed. Sometimes they also go off the top. Usually some UI elements get messed up as well, as if part of the window extends off the screen.

Mixed blessing. I think you guys were too hasty to publish build 209, as evidenced by its numerous, numerous bugs. That said you have now had testing of it by thousands of people, who found dozens of bugs you had overlooked, so I am more optimistic than ever about tomorrow's (purported) release. Hopefully you were able to get around to everything important, but the compressed time frame makes me perhaps a tad less sanguine.

Torch does somehow steal Vivaldi's start link function. We've seen this before. I'm not sure why it happens, but it's a real thing. Hope you get it sorted.

Not to be pushy, but I wonder if anyone will have time to look into the regression that trying to log in to Disqus crashes Vivaldi. Crashes it completely. Vivaldi has never been able to properly handle Disqus cookies (keeps saying you are not logged in when you are, and refuses to let you stay logged in between sessions or between PAGES or relosds in Disqus), but this is the first build I can think of that totally crashes if you merely try to log in.
-
It's always a compromise between getting cool new features out as quickly as possible and fixing bugs before doing soβ¦
-
It only crashes for me if I click the "Save password" button after logging in.
-
Disqus works fine for me and keeps me logged in. (Win7 x64, Viv x64) on build 201 (the one before this one). In fact I haven't had any Vivaldi crashes at all.
