Snapshot 1.0.201.2 Improvements to Search Engine Management, Spatial Navigation, Gray look and the foundations for customisable mouse gestures
-
Spatial navigation has a new bug.
The selection moves to a non-valid location when I scroll.I have selected the "Forum" link and scrolled down a bit. Result: Screenshot
-
Forgot to mention that. Windows 8.1 x64 with Vivaldi x64. Middle mouse button opens tabs when clicking bookmarks if there is no scrollbar present. If I have several folders open so a scrollbar appears I get the automatic scroll thing (not sure what it's called) where if you move your mouse under or above that point that it starts scrolling..

Issues #1 : Still hoping you guys fix the complete browser lockup, when opening a bunch of bookmarks at the same time from the bookmark side panel (middle click on a folder), like 20 bookmarks and the whole thing just locks up for a minute, until everything is loaded… Never did that in any other browser I tried, including Chrome. (x64bit edition, i7 875k/8GB RAM/HD5870 1GB/Windows 7 Ultimate)
Issues #2 Also how if you need to scroll down the side panel bookmark, after opening a folder, middle click no longer works to open tabs, it just become a scrolling thing.
Suggestion #1 : Make gestures work in the bookmark side panel, to open and close all folders quickly (Right click + Left click to close them, Left click+Right click to open them... or something like that) -
You know, since its inception the whole "Private" browsing fad has always struck me as vaguely Pythonesque at best:-
Monty Python: "How Not To Be Seen"
It might work for a while but there will be a new HTML (Hyper Text Marketing Language) revision or something equally clever, like tracking any browsers actively not being seen, that will make it about as difficult to work around and overcome as a ReadOnly file attribute.
Yes, the Edit button still doesn't work unless you refresh the page. It seems to work without refreshing after the first refresh.

There is way to import bookmarks from new Opera?
-
When is the email coming to vivaldi??????? IM WAITING
-
Actually Jon has commented on that in one of the previous snapshots comments. Saying that it might come eventually.
Correction: It was in this interview http://www.favbrowser.com/exclusive-interview-with-jon-von-tetzchner/ question No 9 -
yeah, I am on Linux.
So it works on Windows, didn't know that.
-
DUUUUUDE! This looks very promising! I can't wait to actually be able to customize gestures (and keyboard a bit more in-depth)! Good work!
-
Maybe any hotkey or mouse gesture should be able to be triggered by mouse gesture/or hotkey?
-
Welcome to Vivaldi, Ruari
-
This is a bug and was fixed earlier today. Will be in the next snapshot.
-
Speed Dial > 'Bookmarks' tab > Import… > From: 'Opera version 15+'
-
Thanks!
Works well, I only have a problem with tab color contrast (as others), it is not always clear which tab is current until I actively look.
Still on Chromium 41 though? You lazy bastards
-
I would just like to ask, if the bug regarding setting "start with" will be fixed anytime soon. The only functional is still "last session". In other options after starting Vivaldi is still necessary to maximalize the window and hide the show panel. I tried Czech as well as English version.
-
btw any ETA on chromium 43? Or maybe jump to 44/45? xD
-
Nice to see you here Ruari. Can I say "welcome back home?"
-
Me too, I'm waiting but I don't think it will be in the first release of vivaldi
-
Uh oh, speed dial Add Bookmark text box contains "undefined", on every try. The content cannot be modified, so unable to add speed dials from start screen.
Linux x64 -
Which means, a clone tab function that preserves the tab's history and is not just a new tab with the same url
