VivaldiHooks - more useful mods!

@den_po
Speeddial geometry.js - box size and max column values (spacing is ok) - only works to me if is set manually from the settings, probably due some other .css I have which overwrite the settings..... maybe if it sets as !important (or some other code magic I don't know) will work in any case. Having opacity in a future version will be cool (so I fully disable .css for that) -

mmh..strange...I disabled all scripts, but the box size and max columns are still non injected on stable, while on snapshot, speedial geometry works well and on boot without disabling any script °_°
edit
I took the version of .js from dev hook folder and even if they are the same version file there is a 1kb of difference.
Strange, as I updated all built-in scripts.
I'll try with other scripts on to see what happensedit2
Ok, it works Dropped margin of my .css for speedial opacity (which mess with .js) and all works normally.
Forgive me for all the edits :3 -
@JevonChu works for me, but you have to update VivaldiHooks as it was already prepared recently for the new changes in 1.8
-
you have to tell @den_po not me, I'm just a user like you, but I'll have a look at them
-
@dLeon they're not bugfixes, but additional scripts for VivaldiHooks. I have 18 additional css myself not included officially in VivaldiHooks
-
Just reporting, after updating Vivaldi to 1.8.770.54, I copied the new VivaldiHooks from GitHub and it doesn't require to patch vendor-bundle.js anymore, so it's already working at first restart.

@den_po I'm use multiline-tabs.css with some changes for reducing tabs size. Tell me please how I can remove space between tabspanel and addressbar.
-
Can corresponding web icons be added to the search engines in the context menu through VivaldiHooks?

Does this happen with unmodified file?

Nope
-
@den_po No, it not.
I'm migrating on Vivaldi from Firefox with Classic Theme Restorer and narrower tabs (26px) more convenient for me. -
@den_po : maybe you already noticed by now but I'll report here anyway. With last snapshot 1.9.804.3 at least these 3 hooks stopped working
download-tab.js
go-button.js
searchfield-current-engine-icon.js -
I resolved this problem
.tab-position .tab .tab-header { padding: 4px 0 4px 4px; flex: 0 0 26px; }
#tabs-container.bottom .tab, #tabs-container.top .tab, #tabs-container .newtab, #tabs-container .toggle-trash { min-height: 26px !important; height: auto !important; }

Problem multiline-tabs.css (newest one) in Vivaldi-Snap 1.9.804.3:
Doubleclick on vivaldi.exe -->
Vivaldi surface doesn't appear -->
Taskmanager shows that vivaldi has startedAny help for me?
Thanks -
@Michael_from_Germany Try renaming in hooks\ the supposed offending .css to .cxx, kill all vivaldi.exe from task manager then restart it and see if it's that one stopping vivaldi.
On a side note, it works for me, but I don't use it as I don't like it and I don't even keep many tabs open. -
@iAN-CooG Thank you, yes the renaming is the solution. By the way, I'm a tab junkie ... 50 or more tabs open is standard
-
@Michael_from_Germany now, if you use other hooks than multiline tabs, go in settings/startup and try to disable ALL other js/css hooks and leave only:
jdhooks-startup-settings.js
multiline-tabs.css (you have to rename it back of course)
Restart vivaldi and see if by chance some other hook is interfering with it. -
@iAN-CooG I'm sorry, but multiline-tabs is the only hook I use.
