@Catweazle If they were doing this, they should update on the process. Not only they refuse to give the user an option to export or download all their data, they also refuse to update on what the hell is going on. They have hostage my data, and I suspect they will lose it.

@Raizendavid002 Dude, you get a free browser with a free sync. If you're not happy, that's cool, you are also free to take your data somewhere else.
Note: YOUR data is on YOUR computer. You can save, export, import as you please. Ever checked up on your profile folder? Did you read the previous posts about syncing manually and options you have? -

Handling manually the profile folder for something so stupid as the capability to EXPORT sounds not much as a friendy manual backup/sync method.
In my case this problem extend to 2 different profiles, one for work stuff (IT admin stuff) and other for personal shit.
I don't care much about the personal profile, but my work stuff is a little bit painfull.
Now try adding this to the soup. I have all my data synced on the mobile version and when looking on how to export it, I discover that andoid export have been requested for years by the users with just a .l. as an answer to them.
So, the real problem is that I CAN'T take my data elsewhere.
Thanks for the suggestions, bud. I'm sorry if I sound too upset, but is because I am (there is no profile folder on android and aparently I will have to do a site by site manual backup).

@Raizendavid002 Your data is on your computer. Sync is only syncing it across devices. There are methods, described both in this post as well as the site, on how to back up your data while sync is not working.
They are not holding anything hostage and while I have been critical of them for the architecture of their sync system, I have no doubt in my mind that they are working their butts off night and day trying to get this fixed. Vivaldi is a for-profit business and this will have an effect on that bottom line.

@Cretec Dude, Its not on my computer, when the sync works, and you log in on a fresh install, it does something called DOWNLOAD FROM THEIR SERVER which are currently down, preventing me to get my data on the computer.
If its not on any server, then why is there a problem with the Sync and multiple people can't access (download/upload) their data?
To sync stuff across devices, the data must be stored first on a server, so you can download it later on any device, that is how a sync feature works.
If it weren't like this it would be a P2P sync, and this whole issue would be different. SMH

@Raizendavid002 If you have it on any other device, it is there. Yes, if you have no other device, you are screwed. Always good to back up before reinstalling, for this reason.
I had to copy the back-up from my system to a new one.
Not saying you don't have a right to be upset because I certainly am. It isn't acceptable. However, they are not holding your data hostage. They are having a major outage. This is why back-ups are critical. There is never any guarantee that a cloud-based service will be available.

@Cretec Yeah, and the worst thing is that I had the thought "should I copy the folder"?, but I saw the green 100% data backup and just closed the browser and proceeded to format.

Why is it not synchronizing? It gives a warning that there are problems with the server, and I experienced the same problem in the mobile application! Help me!!
