Data Sync works, updated bookmarks appear after 2 – 20 sec on my Mobile Android 10 and Linuxes.
I know that sync check is not so often on Vivaldi Android as on Windows. But Sync was never meant as a realtime data store. -
But today Uptime 80% as i can see in vivaldistatus.com? Really? Not stable enough? Strange.

I still have no problems, in any case a good reminder for everyone to back up the data, at least the passwords and bookmarks, maybe also notes

@Thot I don't know why you'd imply that my Bookmark sync was disabled. It was not on either device. I had to recheck after reading your post.
Albeit, the sync happened successfully when I opened the browser to check all that.

I've been in IT for over 40 years. I know how stressful it is when a system goes down. There are some of us that appreciate what you went through and on behalf of us (and many other users, I'm sure) I want to say thank you.

@hieubvvivaldi My first visit to Vivaldi social was my last. I tried to post a quote but a previous post, an image from something else was inserted instead. Getting rid of it was a waste of my time so I just closed the site. Not coming back probably. This is 2024 not 1990.

I was very enthusiastic when the drawn-out sync problem seemed to be fixed back in December. Unfortunately, since then I have found it frequently does not work in some way or other. When I check https://vivaldistatus.com as recommended when it is not functioning I have never seen the uptime to be less than 98% - as a rough guess I would say maybe 75% for me. It leads me to deduce the problem lies with me but I do not have any problems syncing with any other program I use and my internet connection is very stable and more than adequate speedwise.
Anybody any ideas on this. -

Closing this thread as this issue should be resolved now. if you have new sync issues, please make a new thread to discuss it as it is likely a different problem.
