See passwords without screenlock
-
I wanted to see a password but vivialdi is forcing me to use a screenlock.
This is a horrible design.
2FA is ok but not forcing user to have a screenlock.

This makes sense. Otherwise, anyone who gets your phone can check your password. Don’t you think it’s inappropriate?

Once upon a time, there was a flag in Chromium that allowed you to enable/disable this feature. This flag has been removed a long time ago. And I agree that from the point of view of security this flag completely made the protection itself meaningless, because it could be turned off at any time. Copy passwords. Then turn it on again. Flags are not protected.
So the question was either to force the defense or to admit, that we lock the door and put the key under the mat in front of the door.

In WWindows you need the OS Password to see the Passwords in Vivaldi. Protecting the Passwords is way more important in a Mobile, becaus it's way easier to lose it or they steal it. Deadly when the thief above has access to all your passwords which are in clean text in your device.
I think the small annoyance of having to enter a pin to see them is better than having them metaphorically on a Post-It stuck on the screen, nothing to do with a "horrible design". -
