A New Vivaldi – A Whole New Browsing Experience
-
@dpn Please report issue to Vivaldi bug tracker, include as much detail as possible.
Once that is done, share the bug number (beginning with VB-) you got by bug report mail. Thanks for helping us making Vivaldi better.

@doctorg: I have created a post, sorry for a bit harsh comment here, I was in a bad mood, the browser itself is still the best in the world
-
@DoctorG Thanks! Also I see themes – "Vivaldi 6.7 Default Theme" and "Blueprint Classic" which return the usual UI

Hello i really like the new update but wish you added a more compact round scrollbar i know it is an option in the settings but it only works in settings menus why? Or is it a bug on linux only?
-
Greetings, I tried to revert back to the old design and ended up with this mess.
As you can see there's the blue line cutting up the tabs (between the toolbar and the tab)
any way I can merge them? -
Hi,
Look at here
https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/102198/guide-v7-user-interfaceRemove/Reduce Tabs Gap
-
@thomasp: Ay, nice A icon
-
"Remove tab spacing in maximized windows" setting no longer does anything and seems to be off no matter what it's set to.
I keep dragging tabs when attempting to drag a fullscreen window between monitors because of this issue. -
I really like the design refresh. I will stick to the compact layout, though, because I can't stand the floating tabs feature. A couple of insigths:
- The sync icon looks very out of space with it still being filled black.
- The extension puzzle icon is just simply ugly.
- I was hyped for the uniform icons all over the interface FINALLY, but the toolbar on the web panels still has the old design.
Regarding the dashboard, I would like a Win8 Metro style layout with more box sizes and more free positioning on the page. The current two size options are just not enough. For example, a web widget could be much bigger while the date widget is half empty.
And my long standing pet feature, the feed reader. Now you made it into a widget. Can we finaly get a separate internal page without all the clutter from the mail interface?

I like this seven version 7! I also noticed that my Crashpad folder is empty, so there are no crash reports, compared to the scary version 6!
Nice work guys!
Just a request:
In the Dashboard, in Date area, it would be nice if we had the weather too! -
@olemartin
My thoughts exactly. Tabs loose their primary visual function if you detach them from the document. That's why I don't like having tabs below the address bar either. On the other hand, the feature is reversible with a single click, so no harm done. Everyone can use what they prefer.
-
ARGH !!!
Every so often when trying to click within a webpage, it randomly switches to another tab. This is really bad.

Vivaldi is truly a beacon of light in the festering digital feudalism hellscape everybody unknowingly participates in.
The update is neat, I have just one nitpick though.
My personal wish would be an option to disable the intrusive banners on the bottom left displayed by Vivaldi Mail occasionally upon fetch or receiving new messages.
Thank you, I'll continue supporting Vivaldi

Passwords export from menu sometimes works and sometimes not, it's elusive, reported and confirmed as VB-110651.
VB-108774 was fixed, thanks for making this browser great again.

-
Sigh, this is unusable.
-
@dpn: Same here. I don't have the time to open an issue right now. I will do it at end of the day.
