@iampeto I'm having the same issue, version 6.9.3451.35 from playstore, Galaxy 20 Ultra. App opens, shows an unloaded ui for a second then close. I had no custom background and tried to use the search widged to open the app without success

In this App Store https://vivaldi.en.uptodown.com/android/download/1023070507, I downloaded the previous version of the browser and it worked again.This is a temporary solution I have come up with.

Browser crashes when pressing the new tab button. Selecting a link on one of the two pages I had open from before the update and saying "open in New tab" workshop. Perhaps something with new tab backgrounds?
Edit: Selecting a solide color allows the button to work. Selecting one of the backgrounds as well now. Before selecting the current color and background none of the items showed the selected mark. -

The browser crashes upon launching after updating to 6.9. Clearing the storage data resolved the issue.
But then going to the Standard Tab or Private Tab under Settings > Search Engine also crashes the browser.The option to show/hide Vivaldia game doesn't work.

Hi, since the last update some sites don't show the mobile version correctly (i. e. google searches don't show info like movies cast and other similar info showing before, and some other webs have screwed up zoom and menus). Should I downgrade?
Same here is there a resolution for this as google searches look horrible in the new update

Hi, since the crashing bug at start, I reinstalled the browser, and now:
- Vivaldia game menu cannot be hided
- most impactful, tab and address bar are always hided while scrolling, no matter what options you choose (at least if they are on bottom)

@jon After the recent update, Google search no longer shows the favicons of the sites, is there any option to restore them or are they gone? Thanks.

Thanks for the update, why do you have change the new tab button ?
Before it was at the same place of the tab list button. So to open a new tab i was doing a "slow double tap" on the bottom right button. But now with the new blue one, as it has moved, it more "difficult". Less instinctive. And when you open a new tab, the vivaldi button is not visible until the tab bar loose focus. -
What's the deal with google searches looking horrible now?

There is a bug in this update, every time I close a tab it moves to the group of tabs and not to the previous tab or the penultimate tab I was in, in the previous version this didn't happen.
By the way, in the previous versions, when opening the preview of the opened tabs, the number of tabs was shown, now this information is no longer displayed. Is there any option to show the number of open tabs again?
