Vivaldi launches its first beta
-
I tripped over that one too. Pretty sure he's talking about Chromium 46, as you can already download Vivaldi 64-bit Beta at the bottom of the page in downloads.
-
Same was happening to me… try Pickpocket, it´s better!
-
Well done..
waiting for M3 to re-born
just 1 thing, backspace key doesn't work as back function.. -
So Vivaldi clearly isn't made for you. There are countless options for Browsers without integrated mail that you can chose from, but nothing yet for people who do want to have it integrated.
-
this is not gonna be my case. I do not use AV or malware protection at all - beside MS Defender. Not even as an extension.
-
It has nothing to do with Vivaldi.. you should talk with whatsapp

I began using Opera in the late 90's when I lived in Germany. I stayed with Opera on all platforms until a number of years ago and have not been happy since. First feature to disappear that disappointed me was the keychain integration of the MAC platform. Then later when the big change happened I stopped using the browser. I still go back to Opera 12 here and there because I miss the notes features, auto tab refresh etc… I think the biggest aspect of Opera that I miss is the philosophy. You had a tremendous amount of innovative customizable features that made browsing far more rewarding. I am happy to see that the Philosophy lives and will be installing the beta version of Vivaldi immediately.

I know we all want those great integrated features back! One thing to keep in mind is that many browsers today are resource hogs (like the one i am using right now), A slower more measured release cycle with a focus on memory management would be a welcome departure from todays slapped together software. I wish this company the best!

Is there hope for change that Vivaldi will ever run in my Macbook (Intel Core 2 Duo, OS X 10.6.8). Because of poor graphics adapter I cannot upgrade to newer OS X but still I can install and use latest 64-bit version of Chrome. (I know this is old hardware but it's still quite fast after I upgraded to SSD-drive.)
-
GJ, looking forward to it.
-
Hurray! Well done guys… it's impressive how far you've come in such a short amount of time.
-
Developers site My guess is you can I have same situation but Win 7 Core 2 with SSD put in with lots of Driver updates no bios cause Alienware never had one for it. I load it up so I may be the only one but I think you probably could. For sure a little later you can. One guy that loves to thumbs down me will probably do this also. I have 8 meg of Mem. If it works you'll never want another cause these guys are good.

That's what I'm saying…...
What I mean is that it's better to have them support Vivaldi on their side than using an interim solution which are extensions. And yes, I believe the team is regularly trying to communicate with WhatsApp about it. -
☧Vivaldi

Hi. Thanks for the reply. Do you mean that in order to make it work Xmarks must change their extension? I don't think this will happen since I'm using the Chrome extension (there's no Vivaldi specific extension). But if it works for Chrome why is Vivaldi different?
Thanks. -
I disappointed in "Notes" It is NOT what it was in the old Opera: "Copy to Notes" and "paste from Notes". I have use this function to copy and store email addresses, card numbers, etc, and paste anywhere in a webform. It was always at hand in right-click menu
Now, the Vivaldi Notes is completely different. It stores url (with some additional notes), and pastes it. It is a simple bookmark engine, nothing more! :0Please, bring me the old Notes from old Opera!

Or, set Cache Level, as in Opera 12.xxx, as I've been requesting forever.

Including Form Completion?

Why have I been experiencing THIS problem in some of the recent Builds;
When I type in, say Privacy Badger, hit Enter …........Nothing; No problem (ever),
with other Browsers. -
Also, Scrolling Cursor still does not return to original position after Reloading page.
