Snapshot 1.0.303.37 - Beta Candidate with Thumbnail improvements
-
Can anyone else add to this experience:-
I have just started receiving 'dubious', un-solicited emails, referencing vivaldi.
This IS new, has anyone else experienced this?
Is there 'information leakage' occurring?

Ditto here have no idea if so but lately have been getting a ton of same. I blocked IP addresses then had to go to URL because they started using *.party, *.win, *.domnload on and on. -
How can this go to Beta, when the Scroll Cursor, still doesn't return to its position after
Reload; Still no option to set Cache Level; No Form Completion etc., All of which, were
standard in Opera 12.xxx -
You do not need to zoom the page to fit more thumbnails on speed dial, you need to zoom the interface in Tools, Settings, Appearance.
The Ctrl F9 shortcut is the default, but it doesn't work for me either.

I'm very excited. Vivaldi now works better then Firefox on my Linux! The final version definitely will be my default browser. I hope until then you'll fix most of bugs, eg the ability to open multiple selected bookmarks or not working "remove the upper edge of the tab bar" after browser start on linux (on windows 8.1 works fine).
And I dream (after release the final version) that the next will contains mail and RSS client and synchronization (bookmarks, notes, RSS…) But this is still a long way to go.
Now I keep my fingers crossed for polished 1.0.

May be it's a caché issue. Opera loads a cached CSS.

Thank you very much. The memory/disk usage is solved.
Very good release. -
Hmm, my grouped/tiled tabs now show up as individual, standalone tabs when I restart Vivaldi. Grouping/tiling is lost. Worked fine in previous snapshots.

This is the first time I'm seeing a post from you in this Blog, Petter…
I hope to see more posts containing great fixes from you in the months to come (preferably with Performance Improvements !)
Thank you...

Hello everybody! The Vivaldi can not use the F-Secure protection function of the bank, this could be a security issue? The Chrome operating normally. Please consider the developers. W10 (x64) V (x64)

Sad, nothing fixed from below
Open Bugs:
Major:- Tab history is limited to the last 6 websites after a restart of Vivaldi
Minor:
Ctrl-f, Find in Page:-
toggle Ctrl-f does not close the search
-
it overlaps the scroll bar on right side, the up arrow is not usable
-
Bookmark bar, no thumbnails in folders
-
Notes, if you start Vivaldi with the Notes window the active note is empty
-
Typed history, toggle off works not if you click on Panel headlines (like Bookmark or Notes)
-
No horizontal scrollbar in website when Bookmarks or Notes Panel is opened on the right side and content is invisible
open Bug Report:
Summary: Vivaldi crashs after new start when µtorrent web ui is used in a tab
Key: VB-9137
This is now very bad. In older snapshots, it crashs and restarts again but lost all tabs.
Now it crashes and crashes and crashes if tried relaunch. -
wait for regenerate
(just wait) … ;p -
I have the same problem here, cannot close the tab.
-
So they are supposed to suddenly disappear? All of them? At once?
… and they will show up again some minutes later?
I already reloaded all of them twice in this snapshot (manually) -
More details please?

Just got fixed

Thanks for the Ctrl trick. But the short cut ctrl F9 does not work for me. I have to right click and select an item on the menu. Still more complicated than simply right click.
Nice suggestion. I reported it as: VB-10293 Context menu of background tab should contain "Tile with active tab option".
Also reported that tile shortcuts do not work. VB-8031 -
I am still getting the problem where after installing the 64bit version Vivaldi won't start but the process keeps running in the background (32bit version works fine).
I'm thinking that a fresh install will probably solve this since something might have gone wrong in my configuration. The only issue now is, how do I backup everything? Mainly bookmarks and speed dials (can do without everything else like e.g. settings, extensions etc)
