Snapshot 1.0.303.37 - Beta Candidate with Thumbnail improvements
-
Beta? But the IME bug is not resolved yet…
-
Hi again ..while I was looking for and deleting ..Top Sites ..file ..I also noticed therer was a file called ..Google Profile ..it had a yellow triangle over file icon? Is that suppose to be in there? Should I delete it?
Windows 10

It's to mimic the Windows behaviour when clicking on the program icon, at the top left of the window.
But I agree that an option would be good… -
I deleted the Top Sites files. Some tab thumbnails seem to not be regenerated (even when I manually reload the page). Maybe more often than before? :s
Little bug: Put you mouse on a tab to display a thumbnail. Press F5 to reload the current page. The thumbnail displayed under the tab is saved in the thumbnail of the reloaded page.

Hmm, the Vivaldi forum does not render properly. I have restarted Vivaldi, logged out and logged in, but the forum still renders like sh….
Other pages are fine (even this blog).
I tried with Opera 34 and the forum renders perfectly ....Win7x64 Vx32

Yay, more candidates! This one seems like a better fit for Beta!
-
The path is shown at the bottom of the About page. (Help ->About on win/lin or Vivaldi->About on mac)
-
I don't have a Profile folder. I use a standalone installation, and don't have anything in %AppData% for Vivalid.
Edit: Found it in O:\Vivaldi\User Data\Default\

I am using a pretty standard computer (PCU Intel Core 3.1GHz, 4GB RAM - no VGC), but I can run 720p@60fps just fine. On FireFox! Using Vivaldi, I have to use the smallest player size if I want to see uninterrupted 60fps, otherwise it falls down to 30fps. In contrast, FireFox can run 720p@60fps on a larger player size without any problems on my pc.
I guess this is because of how much CPU Vivaldi utilizes. Once performance improvements quick in, this should stop being a problem.

Where did you find the "top sites" folder? I've been looking for it on my pc but couldn't find.
Just found it. Ignore.

Ok ..thanks again Ktulx

The speed dial cannot display more than 4 columns even when set to 6.
It would be convenient if a right click on a background tab could display it side by side with the current tab. The current implementation need first to stack them up and to display them by right clicking and choosing the item in the menu. It's a bit convoluted.
-
It's nice to see yet more former O employees popping up : )
-
The number of speed dial thumbs that will fit depends on the size of the window and the zoom level of the UI (which can be changed in Settings)
Tabs can be tiled by using Ctrl + Click then shortcut Ctrl F9.

the new (informative) auto-installer window in one word: superb :!:
-
I have i5 4670k and 8GB with 270x. It is not due to hardware utilization.
Problem is even on 720p@30 or 24fps. -
The little bug is a known issue. There are lots of problems while generating thumbnails in Blink.
They are working on it (and did a great work on the SD and bookmarks thumbnails), but there is still work to do on the tab's ones (and tab switcher). -
I think it's not an issue of Vivaldi (the browser).
But indeed, the forum was displayed without CSS. Seems fixed now. -
So the scroll bar with vertical tabs overflow will be attended to, yes?
-
Yepp. OK now (so how can Opera display it correct - without CSS )
