Snapshot 1.0.212 - Mouse gestures with touchpad!
-
The crash is known.
For the gestures: You don't need to actually press any mouse button. Just use alt and move your finger on your touchpad. -
Yeah, we know. We'll fix it soon. No worries.
-
When passing an address to Vivaldi from Opera, the tab opens OK, but the maximised window is restored.
-
For anyone with the same problem, I found the solution. There seems to have been a problem with the icon so it defaulted to standard. To change this back you have to go to applications folder, right click vivaldi and open information panel. Select the icon in the upper left corner and press delete. This will bring the vivaldi icon back!
-
Regression introduced already with previous version: Site Info dialog doesn't anymore have options to override global permissions (enable/disable javascript and plugins etc.) for new sites which don't already have site specific exceptions. I believe this regression was introduced with Chromium update.

well, I tried [alt] + move, [alt] + (double)tap + move, [alt] + click + move .. no luck
maybe my setup is weird
I'm using enlightenment 0.19.5 (E19) -
What about Vivaldi App Launcher? Hidden feature?
http://imgur.com/OidMIIj -
This is an essential feature and needs a rapid fix.
-
If that happens, please make it only an option, because most browsers on mac do it the way that is done on the vivaldi mac version.
-
try swiping quicker/multiple times, it works occasionally on mac…
-
huh, nice find
-
I can confirm 1) on windows 8.1 [64-bit], And 4) seems like a good suggestion.
-
You can use this to launch some chrome apps. I tried it myself while trying to get Archon working, but none of the apps I tried worked properly. This will probably get more attention when extensions are fully supported.
-
I would appreciate an option to disable URL autocomplete. Is that possible?
-
Yeah, this is one of these oversimplified Chromium-decisions. We don't like it either and we're looking into it.
-
i tried this app: Enjoy Music Player.
Playing online music works. Music from local storage was not found. I think addons are not fully supported by Vivaldi but there is something to come. -
Thanks for the new build!
Aside from the various fixes (thanks!) and the UI still resetting to default, it seems there's not much difference from the last build for what that I can tell.
But a major bug that still keeps bugging me is history in Quick Commands. No history results showing up when I type. My Facebook history showed up though, but not all of it.
Anyways here are the bugs still present in this build that's pretty annoying. xD
BUG: [Win7x64] Opening a new tab then closing it will leave a blank page on the first or prior tab.
BUG: [Win7x64] Quick Commands still won't open (ctrl+Q)
BUG: [Mac] In Speed Dial when focus is on the address bar, shortcuts are typed-in instead of triggering said shortcuts.Of course, I'd appreciate it if these will be fixed on the next TP.

I can't upgrade for everyday use from 201 until you fix it…
This is the problem with people like Google writing the engine. Their paradigm is telling people what they ought to want instead of giving choice.
-
just checked in gnome.. no luck either. Yeah, maybe I'm too slow

Well, two little findings so far, see https://vivaldi.net/en-US/forum/vivaldi-browser/3974-snapshot-1-0-212-on-our-way-to-tp4#30110.
The missing site preferences I already did notice with 1.0.209.3, but forgot to feed back. Now for me the only two things lacking are proper extension support and smooth scrolling.
