Может уже хватит фигней страдать? Сделайте что-то функциональное. Сделайте то что обещали.
Где обещанный RSS и почтовый клиент?It may already have enough garbage to suffer? Do something functional. Do what they promised.
Where is the promised RSS and e-mail client? -
Some of these bugs have been around for at least 2 months. None fixed
bug: 16+ rows of speed dials leads to the text overlapping at bottom
bug: when you "use as speed dial" on bookmark folders from bottom to top, the speed dials folders names don't change
bug:- when removing speed dial folders that was added with "use as speed dial" from left to right in the speed dial tab, the speed dials folders name don't change
bug: favicon doesn't appear in folders in bookmark bar
bug: couldn't use middle mouse button to open bookmarks at bookmark bar inside bookmark folders
bug: speed dial tab need to remember last speed dial folder it was using
bug:- Middle mouse button stop working on bookmarks if you have more than 5 bookmark folder expanded in panel. I simply closed some bookmark folders and middle mouse started working again
new bug:- I got a bookmark bar folder with lots of subfolders and bookmarks and most of them are randomly greyed out and unclickable
new bug: Control-Shift-V shortcut still show up for Paste as Plain Text when you right click URL context menu when it should be listed next to Paste and Go
new bug: can not add new folders to bookmark from the bookmark panel via right click context menu. No pop up appear. Right click a bookmark on the bookmark panel and select "New Folder". A new folder only appear when you left click, but disappear again. You don't have the ability to edit/name this folder -
Probably more of a gnome issue, but my native toolbar for vivaldi is light grey, although I'm using global dark theme.
-
Issues:
- When too many bookmarks in the sidepanel are visible(that you need to scroll), you can no longer middle click on them to open them in a new tab.
- Cannot drag Vivaldi's main window when clicking in the empty area at the top where new tabs would be. This result in a very small, hard to get portion of the very top of the Vivaldi window to be clickable for dragging it.
- While this has been improved from a previous build, opening multiple bookmarks at once (25 or so), cause the browser to become unresponsive until all tabs are finally loaded.
Suggestion:
- Put the Left click + Right click(and vice versa) mouse "gestures" in bookmark panel to open/close all bookmark'ed folders.
- Put an option to hide the Speed Dial folder from the bookmark side panel.
- Add a "Global Zoom" feature, so that all websites are zoomed in according to the % we desire, without having to set it manually for each websites, again and again.
-
From the look of the comments, I think I'll wait for the next build
-
Please don't reload pages at start. I just want pages to keep as last time when I close the browser.
This is good for viewing some temporarily offline websites, if the browser don't reload pages at start we'll still have a chance to view content.and…I'm really looking forward these new features in future builds:
Smooth Scrolling
Bookmarks SyncThank you guys Vivaldi is an awesome browser!
-
BUG: Tabs just randomly began to cycle when using mouse scroll even though my cursor is not hovering the tab bar. So whenever I want to scroll up or down a webpage, it instead cycles through my tabs. A browser restart fixes this. Not sure when it will happen again though.
EDIT: Dang it happened again! Maybe just a coincidence but It starts when I try to scroll via mouse wheel in a Google Hangouts session. Not always though.
EDIT2: Now it happens even when I scroll through this blog. (Note: A Google Hangouts session is active in another tab).BUG: Adding site in Speed Dial ('+' sign then paste URL the click 'Add'). Add button does nothing,

Not to mention the listings of "Mark as Read" and "Mark as Unread" as keyboard commands in the Mail section of the handy dandy cheat sheet….

As always, thanks for the snapshot and all of your work!
On the first run after the upgrade, "Use Page Theme Color" was checked, even though I had previously disabled this setting. However, even though the box was checked, Vivaldi still showed the gray UI. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to reproduce this after the first run (although it did happen again with a clean profile). Did anyone else notice this?
-
The most important feature of this release, mouse tab switching was hidden away in the updated. I almost missed it. Nice initial work!
Now I am hoping for desktop/web notifications, which is the only feature most other browser has, that I miss. -
I noticed same problem, i tried to move one item in bookmarks, and it took about 2-3 mins until i finally did it, because, as you said, other folders open and make it hard to finish action.
-
The Settings dialogue wastes a lot of space for the Left Column. That could be about 50-60% of its current width and still have room for the longest text label, which is currently "Appearance" or "Downloads"
When the settings dialogue is reduced in Width, the Mouse categories get compressed: i.e. the text labels: Close Tab, Reopen Closed Tab, History/Back, History/Forward become CT, RCT, HB, HF or disappear entirely.
-
The first finger is already on the left button, the middle finger is on the scroll-wheel, and the fourth finger is on the right button.
To use the scroll-wheel to switch tabs, one has to move the middle finger to the right button, and scroll with the already over-used first finger.
Offering the option to use Left Mouse + Scroll-wheel would reduce RSI.
-
- Can't open SpeedDials with mouse scroller (button 3)
- Settings Dialogue opens in wrong position (in dual/second monitor) loads on the first one, not in the browser centre for example.
- There's no option to disable tab resizing preview(show tab thumbnails - just to disable it)
- Inspect Element isn't fixed in the browser.
- videos from gospodari.com don't loads (example) code.visualstudio.com videos don't loads too!
- It's hard to drag the browser in windows (you can catch it only under the close, min, max), but not in tab area…
- When you have a lot of tabs opened, the "x" button for closing them is not "x", does not display correctly! If they are really a lot then there isn't x button at all.
-
BUG: The UI Scale is reset to 100% on reopening the Settings dialogue
-
in my case this happens in windows 7 vivaldi 64bit: esc doesn't close the find in page bar. but curiously esc works as expected in a machine with good old windows xp 32 bit.
-
I have noticed this as well on Linux (scrolling through tabs when just using the mouse wheel). Random. I have not figured a way to reproduce yet. I do not use Google Hangouts.

more feedback about UI, ok…
1. id like moving elements (tab bar, nav buttons ets, like in windows task bar). im now using other browser and have all elements in 1 slim row
2. dont like static status bar. it can popup or slide, not on/off
3. want to change not only scale of all UI but separate elements also (example: dont want small tabs but want small nav buttons)p.s. sorry for my bad english
-
Looks like it happens after a right click on a tab or in the address field. Once the context menu is closed the wheel handling gets into this mode. It can be fixed by pressing the right mouse button once more in a page.
