@Al-Khwarizmi pretty much present in latest snapshot ^^
Disable native mode and enable the old legacy menu bar.
You'll get webpage title on windows title bar; OS coherence, very nice
Probably, will be improved; however now it acts similar to the VLC player menu bar.
In no native, with Vivaldi button on, it should be placed near back button, and no on top: it's wasted space. -
@dLeon well, yes, but it could be a checkbox in privacy settings with: "prefer https connections when possible"
-
@Tealmann have you unchecked the box for "always prefer bookmarks" in the address bar settings? I know this isn't exactly what you are asking for, but probably helps.

Add folder when bookmarking a site
I would like the ability to create folders when I'm creating a new bookmark. When I click the bookmark icon at the end of the address bar to add a new bookmark for the current site I'm viewing, I only have the option to add it into pre-existing folders. It would be much better if it was possible to create a new folder for the bookmark, and any new bookmark will default to using the previously used folder as well.

@Folgore101 Thanks for voting my request, inform you that this function has already been inserted in the last Snaptshot and therefore will be available for everyone in the Stable version.
-
Lifx Theme Integration
Just like the Philips Hue bulb support, please consider integrating the Lifx stack too.
-
Save passwords on macOS keychain.
-
Search inside a website in the address bar using the Tab key as in Chrome
I know some people recommend using duckduckGO Bang feature for that, but it isn't that useful if you're not from the US. I'd like to search my country's Amazon page, not the default .com one.
It is the thing I miss the most from Chrome; otherwise I absolutely LOVE Vivaldi.
-
Please change search marks color intensity, or vertical search bar button color intensity or color itself, because as it is now it is hard to find search bar button under many search marks in some cases.

@Esteis said in Feature requests for 1.7:
- For bonus points: when I type a folder name, drop down a list of matching folder names that shrinks as I type.
This feature is often called "Incremental search"

@dLeon said in Feature requests for 1.7:
Forget about this site
Available in Firefox History viewer context menu.
At first I thought it clear all history of target site. Only these days I realize that thing clear all histories of target site. That's include, local storage, cookies, typed history, and of course history list.Note:
You can achieve this manually in Chrom* by visiting history page plus chrome://cookies. And it's really manually.Furthermore - make it possible to create list of websites that Vivaldi forgets after shutdown
-
Set Font Size for Toolbars and Menus
In Opera 12.17 I can set fonts/font sizes independently for menus, toolbars, dialogs, panels, and tooltips. This is extremely flexible, and helpful for users who are visually impaired.
-
@jplanvers
This should come with the possibility to enable/disable preload of videos. Some don't want to wait, others don't have unlimited download volume. -
@Blueridge
There could be a combination of both, like using sites' icons + text or being able to define the size of the thumbnails to vastly increase the number of links displayed on the screen. -
@kbrc21: There's an option in the latest snapshot - "Always load pinned tabs."
-
Add "bookmark link" to context menu.
Currently you have to open a page to be able to bookmark the link. I want to bookmark the link directly and open the page later (some other day when I have enough time to read it). -
Prevent web-browser fingerprinting.
Currently it seems to be possible to almost uniquely identify a user by what the browser tells to the webpage's server. Part of it is inevitable but there should be the possibility to decide about the amount of information given over.
Try it: https://amiunique.org/
Details are told here for example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canvas_fingerprinting -
Possibility to show stored passwords
It sometimes happens that you want to login to a website from some other computer. Or the maintainer of the site changes something and the automatic login doesn't work anymore.
In those cases it would be useful to have the password displayed to the user. -
@ghpy - for now you will have to go to chrome://settings/passwords
-
Easy to create site specific settings for cookies, etc.
Like in Opera 12 it should be possible to easily create site specific settings from the context menu with the address already filled in (and the possibilty to change this address www.example.com to *.example.com).
