Show close button on all vertical tabs when folded.
-
Hello! I do not know if this is very reasonable to ask, but I would enjoy being able to close any tab when I display them vertically with, with a tab bar having the minimal possible width.
In that setup, the tabs are only icons and occupy minimal space, which I like (but am probably also the only person to do so).
Firefox has an amazing UI for this in my opinion, with a tiny close button on the upper left of tab icons. For now, Vivaldi (like Brave, and probably Edge too though I haven't tried) only allows me to close the currently focused tab, and I have to hover the icon to do so. I do not find this really intuitive, but again, that's my taste!
Thank you in advance for considering it, I understand there are other more important features in the pipeline at the moment.

You're not the only one with that screen navigation setup. I like it too.
I'd add that when you see a page with sound, the speaker icon appears and gets confused with the close grip symbol - which means a hassle. It's hard to close the tab with the speaker icon on top of it. -
@Silzinc So far you can only use the Window Panel (also vertical) for that (but it doesn't have minimal width ofc). You can do more things with it but unfortunately it is still not really mature (see signature). The Tab Stack should be closable with middle mouse button for example [Window Panel] Close Tab Stack with Middle-Mouse-Button click

Thanks for the input! Though I am not a big user of the middle mouse click, and I cannot find a way to retrieve the "tab = icon" UI with this panel.

@Silzinc yeah it doesn't have it, that's why I upvoted your request.

@npro Sorry for being a lazy tired reader, you had said that in your first reply :!

@Silzinc Relax, I'm the lazy one here as I added that part a bit later (to further clarify) and you may had seen the reply without it in the first place
