Minor update (2) for Vivaldi Desktop Browser 7.3

@Pathduck I agree. With or without foto, I'd like to be able to modify the color.

[Chromium] Update to 134.0.6998.189: plus some 135 back-ported code related to security
Do any Vivaldi dev have contacts on the Chromium team? We need someone to remind them to properly update extended-stable branch with security updates while it is under support.
-
@npro I just like to keep my expectations low - saves me from being disappointed
-
@Pathduck yes but low expectations = low effort = low product
-
@Levrini We already talked to the Chromium team about that particular patch; they were not sure it would stay in 135, so they did not update 134 with it this week. We decided to take it anyway. We would have gotten it next week, if we hadn't.

nice thanks for another update, and I didn't even see the splash screen it started up so fast !
-
@npro: That's true!
-
@dancer18: Me too
-
You V guys are great; thank you so much!
-
@ThePfromtheO V for Victory!
-
@Dancer18 Try open
chrome://settings
and search for GTK, enable it and restart. Then your dark desktop environment could be detected by Vivaldi – i hope. -
@DoctorG We fixed that already

Linux Debian KDE 5
Vivaldi 7.3 Stable started in shell does not use environment variable LANG?
export LANG=en_GB.UTF-8; vivaldi
Sad easy switching UI language no available while testing.
Strange. But works in 7.4.3648.3 Snapshot on Linux.
Any confirms?

[Panels] Opening a new window, triggers opening the side panel (VB-114687)
Since you fixed that, my sidepanel stays closed when I start Vivaldi. I re-open it, close Vivaldi and it's closed again after the next start of Vivaldi.
-
@LarsScholz I tested with Settings → Panels → Floating panel activated.
When i open download panel, hit Shift+F4 to exit Vivaldi and restart, the i see the panel open at new start.
If i exit Vivaldi by clicking on window x-button the panel is hidden after next start. -

-
@larsscholz: Yes, same here. Open panels are not saved after exit Vivaldi.
-
@Buddy100 I tried the latest snapshot, still the same.
-
@pathduck: I always like it when you give these little insights into Norway.
