Hello everyone!

I'm already here for a bit over a month, but will finally also take the chance to leave a little mark on this thread.

I'm from Germany and my field of work is in WebDev and IT. No wonder I always had (still have) a massive collection of browsers. Was always the case if I think about it. When I was young my friends collected Pokémon, I collected browsers. Mainly to test stuff I developed or just because I'm always curious to see what different vendors provide.

However, my main browser went from Netscape Navigator(!) over the still only "Mozilla" named browser to Mozilla Firefox. As you can see, I'm quite one of these "internet pioneers" if you want to call it like that and still know the times, when you couldn't escape those AOL CDs (and floppy discs) everywhere and you still needed to do the "beep-boop" to connect to the web. I never thought I'd ever switch my daily-~~driver~~browser after all these years, but well, here I am.

I already knew Vivaldi for a while, but earlier versions didn't quite get me over yet. But when v7.1 came out. Whow! You know that meme with the guy looking at the other women and his girlfriend looks dismayed? Well, I was the guy from that meme then and the other girl was Vivaldi.

Set up my profile and sync account rapidly and while first using both browsers parallelly, I finally felt at home enough to do the full switch. Vivaldi just felt so snappy and fast, great startup time and the level of customization and theming — wonderful! Really pushed my buttons.

Now, Vivaldi has become my main browser on all my devices, and I'm delighted with the browser and all the tools it provides. So, yeah, it seems you have me now as part of the Vivaldi Community as well. *lol*

Newish here too. Been using Vivaldi for a while and recently found the Vivaldi forum! Keep up the great work with Vivaldi - i really enjoy using it. (Mac, ipad, ios)

One improvement I would like to be able to use my own image on the speed dial buttons (like on opera)...

@lorask, it is also possible, right clicking on the speed dial icon, at least in Windows and Linux-

Hallo und viele Grüsse aus Deutschland, genauer gesagt der Mitte im Dreiländereck von NRW, HE und RLP.

Nachdem Mozilla seine Bedingungen für den Firefox änderte, war ich auf der Suche nach einem neuen Browser für den PC (Windows und Linux) und das Smartphone (Android) und Wurde über Mastodon auf VIVALDI auf Aufmerksam. Nun nutze ich diesen schon seit einer Woche und darf sagen, dass er nun zu meinem Standardbrowser im privaten Bereich wurde! Auf meiner Arbeitsstelle und dem EDV-System ist leider nur MS und Chrome möglich.

Greetings from Denmark!

I discovered Vivaldi after deciding to avoid US-made products, and I was so impressed that I convinced my family to use it as well. I find it to be an excellent browser, and I'm glad to support Norway and, if I'm not mistaken, some Icelandic ownership too.

I have a question and a feature request:

Feature Request:
As a former Chrome user, I often have many tabs open simultaneously and group them by category, such as "social" for Facebook, Instagram, and Reddit. I appreciate Google's approach to tab grouping, where the group name acts as a button that can be minimized or expanded, and is color-coded for easy recognition.

I've tried Vivaldi's tab grouping solutions, but they haven't worked well for me. Since Vivaldi is a Chromium-based browser, I hope you can consider implementing a similar "Google-style" tab grouping feature.

Question/Feature Request:
When a YouTube video is playing, the YouTube icon disappears and is replaced by a sound icon. This can be confusing, especially with many tabs open, as it makes it difficult to locate the YouTube tab. Could you consider keeping the YouTube icon visible or provide an option to customize this behavior?

Oh right, I just remember one last thing, it might be a bug. But when using CTRL+shift+T it doesn't alway open the last closed tab, just seems to open random stuff.

I joined Vivaldi because I finally de-googlized myself and, along with the calendar, these were my last steps.
I love Vivaldi and I don't know how I didn't discover it before.
I got here via de Portuguese website https://www.escolho.eu/

The domain name "escolho.eu" is a happy word play in which "escolho eu" (without the dot) is Portuguese for "I choose".
