It's about three months for me, but that's true, I only used Mastodon once, to upvote a post.
However, I'm not that eager to get V Webmail anymore, since I found out that the V email also gets banned when your account gets banned, which can sometimes happen because of errors. I don't feel comfortable when I know I could miss it so easily.

I've been using Vivaldi for a couple months now, and I've been enjoying it so far! There's a ton of features which was kind of intimating at first. I find it to be a smoother experience than Chrome which hogged soooo much of my precious memory

When trying to make my account the process hang out on step 3 after uploading the profile pic. Had to refresh the page and went back to step 1.

Second try went without issues.

hey hello there , I actually make an account for an email service, cause it looks a better option than google or outlook email.

And I found that I am not able to use it(as a new user), so what I should actually do exactly to be able to use an email from Vivaldi for free ? Thanks

New here - a few days. Learned to know Vivaldi many years ago when the CEO left Opera and started Vivaldi. However, have not been an active user since recently. Work in IT myself, focus on AppSec and are supporting the open web and privacy respecting tools.

@privatefamily, hello and welcome. Due to some "users" in the past, which only made an account for mail, using it for spam and worse. Because of this, Vivaldi now need to be sure that the mail is for real users, that means it will be unlocked after some weeks to be sure about the activity of the users ( things like using sync, Forum, Vivaldi social, blog, maybe sharing Themes....). Sorry for this little inconvenience. Anyway, don't hesitate to ask if you need more help or have problems with the browser.
@appsec, welcome, assuming that you are already quite familiar with the browser, wishing that you now also enjoy our community.

I do like your (im)perfect product very much. There's a bit of a learning curve, but once passed that point, the many rewards and refreshing views are there.

Hello everyone!

I'm already here for a bit over a month, but will finally also take the chance to leave a little mark on this thread.

I'm from Germany and my field of work is in WebDev and IT. No wonder I always had (still have) a massive collection of browsers. Was always the case if I think about it. When I was young my friends collected Pokémon, I collected browsers. Mainly to test stuff I developed or just because I'm always curious to see what different vendors provide.

However, my main browser went from Netscape Navigator(!) over the still only "Mozilla" named browser to Mozilla Firefox. As you can see, I'm quite one of these "internet pioneers" if you want to call it like that and still know the times, when you couldn't escape those AOL CDs (and floppy discs) everywhere and you still needed to do the "beep-boop" to connect to the web. I never thought I'd ever switch my daily-~~driver~~browser after all these years, but well, here I am.

I already knew Vivaldi for a while, but earlier versions didn't quite get me over yet. But when v7.1 came out. Whow! You know that meme with the guy looking at the other women and his girlfriend looks dismayed? Well, I was the guy from that meme then and the other girl was Vivaldi.

Set up my profile and sync account rapidly and while first using both browsers parallelly, I finally felt at home enough to do the full switch. Vivaldi just felt so snappy and fast, great startup time and the level of customization and theming — wonderful! Really pushed my buttons.

Now, Vivaldi has become my main browser on all my devices, and I'm delighted with the browser and all the tools it provides. So, yeah, it seems you have me now as part of the Vivaldi Community as well. *lol*

Newish here too. Been using Vivaldi for a while and recently found the Vivaldi forum! Keep up the great work with Vivaldi - i really enjoy using it. (Mac, ipad, ios)

One improvement I would like to be able to use my own image on the speed dial buttons (like on opera)...

@lorask, it is also possible, right clicking on the speed dial icon, at least in Windows and Linux-
