It is very difficult to install this mod,
you're just afraid to try, there are very simple steps to do explained by the mod author, not difficult at all.
as well as to update the browser with it.
you don't need to update anything, the same folder where you saved your .css files is read by Vivaldi after each updates.

@iAN-CooG, I anyway think that an inbuild script manager is a good idea, which makes it even easier for all users.

This post is deleted! -
@bswn im noticing this with the extensions icon as well

Feature request?

@mikeyb2001, it's in the pipeline, more important since the Stylus extension and some other OpenSource script managers are in the Google blacklist.

@jon You have made me absolutely giddy this morning with this new update, sir. I love it! You guys rock, and this is amazing software! Thank you to your team.
P.S. Any chance we could combine some features of the dashboard with speed dial? I really like how I have speed dial laid out now, but would love to add some widgets there too, if at all possible!
-
Wonderful! Now I just hope that the new ecosystem of widget will grow in time. For example, how about a widget with the latest items of my "read later" collection?

@iAN-CooG was answering @Gadzillo that Vivaldi already has a built-in function that allows to manage CSS Mods from a folder and JS Mods through custom.js.
Both to modify the Vivaldi UI.

Please, could you explain me what has to do an inbuild script manager that is oriented to modify the pages of the sites with the modification of the Vivaldi UI?
In simple terms please.
-
@iAN-CooG Well, I haven't tried the new version of the mod yet, but I've been using the multi-row mod for about two years now, and every update has completely broken it.
-
Thanks, I hate it.

@rnalsation: You can get things how they were in less than 10 seconds

@atlemo

@mib2berlin: Of course

I really like the new design. Makes me wanna switch from Opera again, maybe.
I don’t understand, why people are so upset with the changes. It gives Vivaldi a much more modern and sleek impression, the old one looked dated.
Certainly Vivaldi users must really be conservative, as Jon said in an interview. But how will they address younger people when the older ones keep digruntling about any change? Won‘t Vivaldi then be called the rollator of browsers?
Opera‘s new design is cool, too, but maybe too kind of flashy for me.
What bothers me more with Vivaldi is the fact, that there are more and more features included I wouldn’t use like mail, calendar etc. So in the end who doesn’t use them, won‘t have much fun with the new dashboard.
On the other hand there‘s not the slighest hint of AI which might be a plus in the long run, of course.
Featurewise I‘m still happy with Opera therefore, giving me more of what I need. The only caveat for me being the China thing, you know. But the new design of Vivaldi is a great plus on its side. Thank you! -

If I saw a brand new browser called Sircles browser with such rounded UI, I would avoid even try it.
I remember the classic Vivaldi Red theme, it was so good (though I had to disable accent colors every time)
Square UI will be a modern trend again in 2 years!

I really like the new UI. Over time, forums tend to fill up with 'die-hard' fans—often people who have little else going on in their lives and cling to online communities as a focal point. I've seen many products that started strong with active forums and enthusiastic supporters, eventually they either stopped looking at the forums or fall into the same cycle of negativity as the vocal complainers who sooner or later dominate these spaces.
-
@Stardust, I like the UI of the SSuite Netsurf, maybe as inspiration for our geeks to create some mods

@atlemo will that link expire or will the clip always be available I can start directing people that way if it's permanent
