A New Vivaldi – A Whole New Browsing Experience

@neltherion
Hi, nothing to fix, just check the post above yours.
I am not happy with the team decision to change the default themes but try to get older designs back in other browsers or software.
Remember Windows Vista. -

@mib2berlin: Nothing to fix? "Remove Tab Spacing in Maximized Windows" is broken and a CSS hack shouldn't be the way to properly fix it.

@neltherion
Ah, this is a bug independent of the UI change,iirc the developers are working on it.
If I can find the report I will edit the status here.It was reported 3 day ago, no developer assigned but the report is confirmed.
VB-110667
"Remove Tab Spacing in Maximized Windows" setting has no effectCheers, mib

Now, with the floating tabs there is no excuse anymore for not implementing a multiline tab bar as native feature. After all the effort you put in this doubtful tab stack stuff it should be time to satisfy the users that prefer an other type of tab comfort.

Use @Hababr Mod:
https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/101084/css-mod-multi-row-tabs-and-more
Mods are a very native feature.

@barbudo2005: Thanks for the hint! I will try it out.
The problem with such workarounds is, that every update could break it -

This is not the case for most mods and updates.
And if it were internal, do you think changes to Chromium or other parts of Vivaldi wouldn't affect it?

so, my pc browser is not updated
and once my laptops updatedand I'm realizing that I have to find and download the previous version of Vivaldi and think about how to stop it from updating.
wow, congrats on your good work devs. Someone really messed up. I was fine with my browser updating automatically until now. You should give us a more obvious option to stay with the old looks than forcing us to download a previous version. And yeah, the first reason to even find this forum

Clicking on links in one pinned tab opens another pinned tab instead of the intended link. Thumbnails to other pinned tabs are popping up at the bottom of the screen and I cannot find a setting to turn this off. I have had to unpin all my tabs in order to be able to use them normally. This is on an iMac running Monterey.

Hi, this is a reported and confirmed bug, the developers work on it.
As workaround disable Horizontal Scrolling in the tab settings.
A CSS modification is created to fix this but I lost the track where it was posted.Cheers, mib

I just started using it and I like it

Can somebody tell if this is a known bug or not.
If you have multiple separators on a toolbar and if you select any one other than the first one to remove from the toolbar instead it removes the top/left most separator instead of the selected one.

@Zalex108 It's my opinion that after having spent some time make it look just how I want, I shoudn't have to go through a reverse procedure. Some might agree some not.
Thanks for the link

Thanks for the update, but...
what the hell happened to tabs? (rhetorical question) -
@romdev A 🪲 bug happened to tabs.

@barbudo2005: It is very difficult to install this mod, as well as to update the browser with it. Vivaldi NEEDS native support for multi-row tabs!
