How to view RSS on Android
-
Basically the title. Anybody know how I can check the RSS feeds I'm subscribed to through my @vivalvi.net account on my mobile?
I looked for the option in webmail, but it's not there. -
@fernandez You simply can’t. And as far as I know there’s also no possibility to exports your feeds yet.
-
@luetage thank you for the reply. I hope something like this is on Vivaldi's roadmap
-
Not yet a Vivaldi user, but is this still not possible?
-
@hammyhavoc yepp, still not possible
-
@derDay Hugely disappointing.
Seems like Vivaldi has a lot of great features, but none of them are particularly fleshed out in terms of depth.
Is there a roadmap available anywhere?
-
@hammyhavoc there is no Roadmap but you can check for the threads which are tagged with in-progress and pipeline
-
Any chance I've missed progress on this and someone can point me to getting this working?
-
@Baenwort There is no mail, calendar and feeds on Vivaldi mobile. Typically these features are available as standalone apps by default on any mobile operating system, with the exception of a feed reader, perhaps.
-
Still not possible?

RSS on Android would make Vivaldi a one-stop shop for me. The two most used apps on my phone are Vivaldi and Feeder. If I could curate my RSS feeds directly in Vivaldi it would be far more convenient than switching back and forth between Feeder and Vivaldi. I really hope this appears at some point.
-
It is a bummer that the android version is missing all this functionality. It would really solidify the vivaldi ecosystem.
What is the use of having a feeder in a computer when you have to go through the same feeds on your mobile? The answer is you don't use the vivaldi feeder at all making it a useless feature. -

Oh, how I miss the days where it was obvious that mail, calendar, and feeds are typically standalone apps.

Would still be really cool if Vivaldi made separate apps with the extra suite functionalities of Desktop Vivaldi, or worked with other developers and allowed them to use API calls or something like Reddit is Fun used to do before Spez was the reason we can't have nice things. Oh yeah, RSS still doesn't work on Android.
-
I feel free to bump this every year until it'll eventually happen. We really need it, I don't want anymore to read on PC, it's not 98 now.
-
I installed Vivaldi on my smartphone because I was sure to be able to syncronize RSS feeds between Desktop and Android.
Since this feature is missing I no longer need Vivaldi...
Please consider to add this feature

@Trendel Why not try this open source feed reader for Android. Works with OPML feeds import/export and offers various layouts.

I would also like to see this feature implemented on the android app ! It's not the same to have a separate app !
