Vivaldi boosts performance with Memory Saver and auto-detects feeds with its Feed Reader

The blog post specifies: "Certain tabs, such as those with active audio or video playing or partially filled forms, may not be deactivated"
Will this be true for those that are casting video as well?
When I manually hibernate background tabs I've noticed that it will hibernate a tab that is casting a video, but I would think this should be treated as if it were actively playing a video... more often than not, even if the video keeps playing over cast when the tab hibernates, when I reactivate the tab the video in the browser becomes 'de-linked' from the one casting.

@Culip That is the theme of my picture:

Menus seem different. What's been changed exactly?

@pesala: I did hide the Status Overlay. It's still showing. I personally prefer a really clean and minimal UI hence the question.
It'll be nice if we can customise it to not show the reminder. Kinda annoying it's notifying me "Gesture: Scroll to top" when I literally can see it in motion.

A known and reported bug.

While I am happy "Memory Saver" finally is added, I am disappointed it took this long. When it is an old feature.
Not going to trust Automatic though, how it "learns" is a major confusion. How does it even learn, how does it keep tabs on your visit on sites, cookies?!?
Then that is privacy concern right there. As not even Chrome, Brave or even Edge have "automatic" of what I know, and you set hours, like it does exist thankfully on Vivaldi and I rather use this. -
Thank you for the update. Can someone remind me where you set in the browser on windows to delete the history when closing. I had a browser crash and forgot.

@Pyrlandia7
Hi, you can use the search field in Settings to find settings quickly, nobody can remember where all settings are in Vivaldi.
And there are no fewer of them.
Settings > Privacy and Security.Cheers, mib

@mib2berlin: Thank you for your reply. Previously I had that when I closed the browser it would clear and when I turned it on I had to log in to the sites again, but now I am automatically logged in.
-
@Pyrlandia7
Hm, the logins are save in cookies from some pages, this is also in Privacy, Session Only is for you I guess.I would die if I had to login to 30 pages every time.
-
@mib2berlin: I have it set to ' block all ' and yet, when I turn on the browser, I am still logged into the sites.
-
@Pyrlandia7
Hm, blocking does not delete existing cookies, you have to delete them.
Set this to block will also block the usage of 99% of all pages in the internet, try this.
EDIT: It is may better to use a private windows if you want to wipe all after closing. -
My "Open a new tab" button moved from under my tabs to the bottom after this update, how do i move them back?
-
@Pyrlandia7, you cn use the Cookie Autodelete or SiteBleacher extension, they delete all datas from websites after leaving these, except of the pages you whitelist.

Is it still possible to disable the status info overlay? I really don't like seeing it.

@hiberhernandez
Hi, correct.
There was a blog post about KI in Vivaldi:

I updated to v.6.7.3329.16 earlier today, and reading through these comments was a notice at the bottom saying a new version was available which updated to v.6.7.3329.17. Just curious as to what was changed in .17.
