6.6.3271.45 - JavaScript bug (VB-104434)

@DoctorG said in 6.6.3271.45 - JavaScript bug (VB-104434):
We have all our pet bugs and have to wait for a fix.
This is not a “favorite bug” or a request for new functionality, this is a direct function of the browser - working with links.
-
workaround to "fix" the 6.6.3271.45 - JavaScript bug (VB-104434):
Settings → Webpages → untick "Allow Text Section in Links" -
@Capushon Saw in tracker now that a fix is in progress.

Vivaldi.6.7.3319.12 - Downloading via HTTP did not work and still does not work, examples:
http://transponder.petervanderlaan.nl/tv.m3u
http://game-edition.ru/internet/rashirnie-dlya-chrome-smajly-onlajn/msg30269/#msg30269Opera/Chrome/Chromium is doing well, how can I explain this?

All right, APKMirror links seems to be working again in 6.7.3319.12 , but other kinds of js bugs are still there, for example sammobile:
@Levrini said in 6.6.3271.45 - JavaScript bug (VB-104434):
It was hard to find another site where this happens, but here is one: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/. When there, open any firmware page, there will be a custom drop-down selector for choosing a Country. In Vivaldi, the selector won't work and won't load any page.

@Capushon @Levrini
The bug fix is still in process and many links/pages are working now in an internal build, http://transponder.petervanderlaan.nl/tv.m3u
for example.
I cant/want test the other links at moment.
It maybe take a few days until we a get a complete fix.
No idea if this will be published in a snapshot for testing or directly into the next 6.6 update.Cheers, mib

Works fine here, also seems to work fine in the previous Snapshot.
It's also important to not mix up the two issues -
- Downloads over plain HTTP fail (VB-103844)
- Javascript clickable elements fail on some sites (VB-104434)
#2 should be fixed in the latest snapshot.
-
@Pathduck The site appears to intentionally break the download controls when it detects an adblocker.
-
@daniel That's why one should always remember the ABCs:
Always Be testing in a Clean profile!And a clean profile has no adblocker
If the adblocker breaks site functionality, too bad - but it's not a Vivaldi bug.

It would be great if they fixed it.
ps: This is a 100% error in the Vivaldi shell, without it (vivaldi.exe --disable-vivaldi) - everything works as it should, as in other Chromes:

Bug will fixed in 6.7.3329.21.

⇒ https://vivaldi.com/blog/desktop/extra-6-7-fixes-vivaldi-browser-snapshot-3329-19/6.7.3329.21 doesn't fix JS issues with js-menus like the one in sammobile.com
6.7.3329.17/21 also increases occurrence of a high-cpu loop when subscribing to webcals in Calendar, I'll prepare a post/report some other day.
