@ruarí: lol, a Scandinavian friend once showed me a jpg of the grapes growing at the local vinyard and it took me hours to realise he was joking

First blood!

@Gif2D It would be great if you could send the dev team crash dumps so that they can understand what is triggering the crashes. Here is more how send crash dump files
-
@christiehmalry: i spoke too soon, had to disable them again after they keep popping up repeatedly after permissions been given again and again
-
@christiehmalry
Hi, did you go through the complete permission process for each account?
I have to allow the access for Vivaldi as trusted app after very major update but not for every snapshot update.
We had 3 a week sometimes.Cheers, mib

@mtaki14: "our 6.6 stable release, the previous snapshot and this one take three slightly different approaches to matching items in your history."
Not sure if my issue is the issue addressed in that comment, but when I display History, I still get only current-day results. If I want to see any items earlier than current date, I still need to wait – usually 4+ minutes – to see them. Nothing changed in the previous or current snapshots.

@ericjh: I chuckled when I saw that, too. Has a nice ring to it, no?

"[Crash] Following link from Google results (VB-104297)"
Man, is that was the cause of all the "dead bird" pages I started getting? I didn't make the connection to the fact that they were from following links from Google results. It happened a lot! Fingers crossed, I hope I saw my last dead bird...
(In several years of using Vivaldi as my main browser I had never seen a dead bird before. I always had wondered what folks meant when they mentioned them. Now I know! )

If I hide the Addressbar I get an overlapping glitch with the three dots (close, minimize and maximize) in MacOS.
I'm not seeing this, if I hide the address bar, or disable the entire UI with
cmd-f10
, the buttons are placed in the title bar, which prevents any overlapping from taking place:Could you test with a fresh profile? Perhaps there is some other setting you are using that I am not.

Twitch acting up again.
Now I opened the vod of a stream that it's still being broacasted live, to watch it from the beginning, and it's starting muted again. Also not autostarting, I have to press play in the center of screen or press space to make it start.
I disable ublock origin to test, then re-enable it, it sometimes restarts automatically and with sound.
There is no consistency or a way to understand what's going on.
I don't even know if the link to the VOD is relevant but here it is.

It surely does and the reason why I posted it. A nice off topic little gem.

Clean Install is ok. Forgot to say, and added it to the developers, so they know, that I have CSS stuff in my CSS:
/* #browser #header { display: none; }
Maybe a CSS hack is not considered a bug? :-o
-
@wpcoe: That is why Vivaldi has a team of people whose job is it to make such connections from the myriad of scattered reports, complaints, vague hints, insistent-but-mistaken bug reports, and other info we received.

@mib2berlin:yes mate did the full permissions via the pop ups when they pop up now they tell me that theyre enabled the five different permissions are checked,as i did that weeks ago to them all, its as if theres another gmail acct that it wants me to tick but ive done them all again and again
-
@wpcoe: yes ive been getting them regularly i get them in you tube continually but thats ad block so i sort of assumed it was a response to ublock on the other links
-
@christiehmalry
Hm, it is possible you have to do this every few weeks if you use the snapshot, this is a Google security "feature".
I use only one Gmail and a calendar account, not much work but with several accounts?
No idea how other mail clients handle this.
I am sorry but I have no solution for this.Cheers, mib

@delphino: I tried that and for some reason the box is empty when I relaunch vivaldi, ie any sites I've declared to be treated as safe are not there although I've enabled it. Any ideas?

After the recent snap update for desktop, the adblocker stop blocking ads on Youtube.
-
@Manderz Not a new issue. Ad-blocking on YouTube stopped working properly when YouTube changed their code. Now, ad-blocking works fine for a while, then YouTube detects it and prevents you from viewing videos until you disable it.
See previous topics such as Annoying Ads on YouTube are back.
Currently, I can enable ad-blocking on YouTube. This may last for a week before the issue arises again. Some users use U-Block or a script. (See above thread)

@rivedroite: Alberta doesn't want to let winter end either. But today the snow is gone ... again. Let this please be the last time.
