System D (not confuse with systemd) is a great online collaboration Tool (FOSS, AGPL-3.0 license -still in developement but works fine). 100% private, collaborators are added by invitation link by the main user.
OUR PURPOSE :
Develop a tool to support the transition to a production model based on the free exchange, the sharing and the collaboration between humans.
(I imagine this added as a feature in Vivaldi for a premium enterprise version https://github.com/HUB-HUmanBeing/SystemD)

Better than JDownloader2, I doubt it.

I didn't know that. Thank you.
The simplicity of Youtube Downloader HD is one of its advantages. -

Love these lists. Here goes mine...
@kahukura XMPlay... awesome. Been using it for years.
MPC-BE - My favorite video player for Windows. Now there's a snap for Linux.
TrafficMonitor to display download/upload speed in windows taskbar with CPU/MEM usage.
Portmaster Firewall - Really nice firewall i use in Windows/Linux. Not the most intuitive, but very capable.
Simplewall Firewall - A (simpler) capable firewall for Windows i also recommend.
Everything search - How can Windows not have this capability for so many years!?
Xtreme Download Manager @barbudo2005 - Like it much better than JDownloader... Not sure about Youtube videos. Never tried it, but it download all sorts of videos. No ads and much better looking, IMO
Greenfish Icon Editor Pro - Very nice icon editor.
PureRef - To create image references. Very useful to decorate my house
Transmission - Very competent and light Torrent client for Windows/Linux.
KDE Connect - To connect your devices, copy/paste text, send/receive messages and commands... Yes, it works in Windows. - Who needs Windows Phone Link to spy on you?!
Putty - Best SSH Client ever.
Joplin - For notes - not using it now that i have Vivaldi, but it's a really competent note-taking app.
Super Productivity - To keep track of my apps development.
Autoruns by Microsoft - To see whats running at boot.
Hostsman - Manage your host file.
KeePass - To manage passwords. Used it for years, but now i'm on Vaulwarden Selfhosted.
Vaulwarden - Selfhosted Bitwarden to manage passwords.
Bleachbit - To keep your Windows clean.
SUMo - To keep your software updated
InputDirector - KVM software. To use the same mouse in different computers with copy/paste capability. Very cool.
Barrier - Discontinued open-source KVM software. Still use it.
Guess i could make a Linux list as well and a very interesting list of self-hosted free software.

Oh... forgot that i use a little app i made myself to listen to radio.
The app sits on system tray and you just need to click on itto listen. You can also edit the radio list.
Currently only in Portuguese. Not sure why i never got to translate it.
The idea was to replicate this Gnome extension to Windows.

Everyone knows IrfanView, surely one of the best image and multimedia viewers/editors, although unfortunately only for Windows. It may work on some Linux distros with Wine, but naturally an app with similar capabilities that works on Linux would be better.
There are many viewers for Linux, but this, only limited viewers, but there are only 2 comparable to IrfanView (naturally both FOSS, Linux and Windows)
Nomacs Image Lounge
and the one that is really comparable, even capable to upload and share an image (Imgur anonimously) and also to play mediafiles.

IrfanView 4.65 was released on 9th December 2023.

@Pesala, IrfanView is IMHO the best image, multimedia viewer out there, with no real alternatives, but sadly Windows only and proprietary, only free for personal use. One of the better alternatives which works also in Linux is maybe Nomacs (FOSS, Windows, Linux, Mac), other very good FOSS alternative for Windows is PicView, which I use currently, for multimedia files and streaming videos I use SMplayer, also FOSS (Windows Mac, Linux)

only free for personal use
Not only this - IrfanView is free for educational use (schools, universities, museums and libraries) and for use in charity or humanitarian organisations.
@Catweazle said in Big and Powerful but Free:
but sadly Windows only
I once had to check how it works under Wine and there were no problems.
-
@Ryszard, yes, in the past I use IfanView also in Kubuntu with Wine, but I think tha, if thee is a decent alternative for Linux, like Nomacs, that in those times there was not, at least I did not know it, it's better to use it. At that time I used IV with Wine, because what was available for Linux was too rudimentary for me, like a lot of Linux apps some Years ago.
