Workspaces – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2970.3

@dankuta Post clear steps how to reproduce your issue from a fresh profile, then someone can take a look at it. At the moment it seems like something is happening to you, which is happening to no one else, which would point to a profile problem. The other option is that you run a unique combination of options that lead to the issue. You can only help yourself by finding out what the cause is.

@sdar: Yeah, I mentioned it several months ago, but it has not been fixed yet. I have mapped [Alt] + [F4] (close a window on Windows) to one of my mouse buttons. It works in all windows except for the Vivaldi developer tools...
-
Workspaces are really great, thank you! (How could I browse without them before?^^) Keep it up, Vivaldi-team!
-
not import passwords...

Def "not a problem IMHO" because the overlaps allow use to combine features to come up with myriad permutations of UI arrangement. What a strength.

@Fendar F12 should work to open/close Dev tools.
-
@trit34 It should, but it doesn't. If the developer tools window has focus, F12 will no longer work to close it.
-
@Pesala Oh? That’s weird, indeed…
-
@Pesala F12 is not the developer tools toggle on a standard install, it just opens them. The toggle has no default shortcut, you have to set it yourself and then it will work to open/close.
And yes, it will not close with focus on the window itself. But I don’t know whether that has ever worked.
-
@luetage What I find is that if the Developer Tools have focus, the shortcut will change them from docked to in a window.
Pressing the shortcut again will redock the tools, and pressing it again will then close them.
So, one can use F12, F12, F12 to close the Developer Tools window, and F12 to open them.
There does not seem to be any difference between the commands: Developer Tools and Toggle Developer Tools except that the former already has F12 assigned as a shortcut.

What is [Speed Dial] Transitions on mail panel auto-toggle (VB-96097)? Couldn't find reference...

Re: Workspaces – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2970.3
I saved a session & it is listed in 'sessions' but when I try to open it from File/Open Saved Sessions - it says none to open! (I wanted to check my workspaces are correctly saved.) I am running the Snapshot as a portable.
Is this a bug, (or a known one) ??
-
@Pesala Hmm, I remember that differently. It’s probably a bug. I’ll take a look at this, you got me interested.

sorry... vivaldi have one excellent mode antiphishing see...

我发现一个严重的bug,我无法使用网站的的弹窗功能,打开弹出窗口就会崩溃

But if I change the popup to open in a new tab it won't crash -

@mahuaer said in Workspaces – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2970.3:
菜单栏的“工具”菜单无法打开
There is an issue with the horizontal menu bar having a gap above it. Moving the mouse to the very top of the window will not trigger any menu. One has to click a few pixels lower.
This bug affects the latest Snapshot too. I could not find a previous bug report on the forum so I submitted a new one:
(VB-96359) Horizontal Menu Bar Does not Reach Top of Maximised Window
