Hulu and location
-
Hi,
I'm having the same issue stated above. I've tried everything, including enabling the setting in
chrome://flags/#enable-winrt-geolocation-implementation
I'm not sure what else to do. It's quite frustrating that I have to use another browser just for Hulu. Any help would be appreciated.
For reference:
- Vivaldi 3.5.2115.81 (Stable channel) (x86_64)
- OS macOS Big Sur Version 11.1 (Build 20C69)
- JavaScript V8 8.7.220.29
- Flash (Disabled)
- No blocking for Hulu and location allowed.
I'm perpetually stuck at this screen in Hulu.

Oh, thank you! I'm dumb. Defining a custom location override in the dev tools worked for me! Thanks so much!

@chpbrownlee How did you define custom location override? I'm having the same problem
-
@ejwhite2599 OP said problem solved with custom location override in Dev Tools.
Try HitF12
to open Dev Tools, HitCTRL + SHIFT + P
search> Show Sensors
and you can change location onSensors
Tab. -
@ejwhite2599 Open Dev Tools Menu Bar → Tools → Developper Tools, then
cmd+shift+P
, scroll down to findShow Sensors
. -
Then what, after finding Sensors? Does someone have complete, explicit guidance? Thanks.

What worked for me was the following steps:
- Use google maps to find the GPS coordinates of your current address. In my case, it was my home.
- Navigate to https://www.hulu.com
- In the tab for https://www.hulu.com, follow the instructions in this thread to opened the sensors tab within the developer pane and clicked the manage button
- Create a new row in the table, called "Home", enter your GPS coordinates and timezone.
- After entering the new row, click the "x" icon in the upper right hand corner of the developer pane. This will take you back to the sensors tab.
- Select "Home" next to the Manage button and refresh the page and hulu should work.
