Playing sounds (Youtube) even though I am not in youtube.

Sometimes, the Vivaldi browser is playing youtube sounds/videos even though I am not on youtube. For instance, I am on OneDrive scrolling and navigating from my file, and then out of nowhere, a sound will be played (this sound I know is from my previous youtube videos).

For doubters: no other tabs are opened, and all my media player software are closed (and pretty sure I do not download news video).

At first, I do not mind, I just refresh the browser. But now it starting to become more frequent.

@davidjose4work Do you perhaps have a minimized browser window with a youtube tab open? This shouldn’t happen of course, but I cannot say I have ever experienced something like this.

I never had this either but may an extension cause this, disable all, restart Vivaldi for testing.
It is may the setting to run apps after Vivaldi is closed, check:

chrome://settings/system

Copy/paste it in the address bar.

@mib2berlin Interestingly, I've seen several posts like this about another Chromium-based browser. I'm guessing there must be some malware - probably an extension - doing this to inflate views (and also likes, they report there are videos in their likes they never clicked on) to get the video creator more ad revenue. What extensions - especially anything related to YouTube - are installed?

@luetage no. Only one vivaldi browser is opened. For details, the other softwares are Microsoft Word and Powerpoint.
