History Menu

@GenXstarX The default shortcut for the history tab is Ctrl+H.
Your feature request for a History Menu currently has just one vote.

@GenXstarX Does the Mac show Recently Closed Tabs (and Windows) on the Trash Can popup menu?
-
Additionally to what Pesala already said, recently closed tab are visible on the trashcan icon (click it) and in the windows panel, which can be associated with a keyboard shortcut (I use Alt-W for that)

History is in the Tools menu for Mac. Not sure about other platforms, but it should be in a menu somewhere. You can also get at history from the start page.

In case the earlier reply was missed, Ctrl+H is your friend. And zero clicks!
-
@JoelYoung @Streptococcus You are both missing the point. See the linked feature request.
Ctrl+H is just a workaround to quickly access the history tab, but @GenXstarX wants a history menu with several options for quick access.

Hey mate, this is never going to be a solution on macOS, Command+H hides the current application, Command+Option+H hides other applications etc.
Regardless of key stroke assignment, it still it misses the point, the History panel is an obtuse and convoluted UX quirk as the only way to access History, because in every browser since the 90's, the main quick access to History has been via a dedicated menu, a History panel was added later as a secondary access point.
Bookmarks have been treated with the same implementation, a Bookmarks Menu for quick access, and a Bookmarks Panel for managing Bookmarks.
Vivaldi developers made an illogical and bizarre decision not to include a History menu, no matter their explanation, it cannot be justified.

Okay. You never mentioned your OS, and this wasn't posted in the Mac forum (https://forum.vivaldi.net/category/34/vivaldi-browser-for-macos), so I had no idea.

Hi,
@GenXstarX is right, if we have a menu for bookmarks we should also have one for history. Or at least having the option to display it.
The advantage of such menu is it's faster to get a recent visited page.
Thanks

And the default shortcut for bookmarks is Ctrl+B. Does that mean they should remove the bookmarks from the menu too?

@Aelius Non sequitur.

The OP said that the way history is viewed in Vivaldi is less convenient than having recent history in a dropdown menu like other browsers. Your response was to explain to him that history is accessed via Ctrl+H.
So, either you misunderstood his point (which other posts of yours in this thread make me believe you did not), or you were implying that his request is flawed because history can be accessed via Ctrl+H.
To point out by analogy the flaw in your reasoning, I asked you whether the fact that bookmarks can be accessed via Ctrl+B negates the need for the bookmark dropdown menu. In other words, a reductio ad absurdum.
My Latin is bigger than yours; does that mean I win?
