It happens at least for 3 years, but, most likely, even longer.
For me, mostly it happens when many tabs are open (often when these pages are opened and browser asks if you want to save your changes: you answer "no" and crash happens), which means that PC have high RAM usage and some tabs may be silently unloaded by browser - maybe it matters.

@janrif A mail settings page had less space between checkbox list items. That was fixed.

@pathduck: ugh... I just tried this and after deleting google and bing, Vivaldi shut down on me. I'll need to test this more thoroughly before submitting a BR (new user account, different workstation), but I had it happen 2 times in my current environment.

And still the problem with the address bar having focus when a tab is opened. Such an annoyance, that I go back to 2729.

Thanks for the snapshot, but I think there's been a bug with the search box for the past few versions. If you arrow down into the box and select, the first choice does nothing, the second choice selects the first one into the box, the third selects the second, and so on. That is, when choice N is highlighted, it puts choice (N-1) into the search box. Has a zero/one based counting bug slipped in?

A naive question:

Why a person who doesn't want to have problems with Vivaldi every time uses snapshots and complains all the time about problems?
(of course I'm leaving out the people who use snapshots to help the Dev team to improve Vivaldi)

@jaxtraw I just tested selecting different search engines in the search box, with mouse and keyboard navigation, and it works fine for me on Windows and on macOS. I don't see any "off by one" issues.

@jaxtraw I can replicate, and also confirm it's been here since a couple last updates.
It's acting like that for every search engine that has search suggestions: Google, Bing, DDG

We are not making this up, while typing the search keywords the list gets populated but if you select with cursor down/up, the actual text copied in the search box it's the one of previous entry.
Only works if selected with mouse click.
Reporting this now, as I'm not the only one seeing this.

I have the same problem and no search entry is duplicated for me, so that's not the issue for sure.

Please create a bug report for any issues that you see, especially for those that can be confirmed by others. We are nearing the end of the 5.4 release cycle and it will be nice to get as many outstanding bugs (officially) reported and fixed as possible.

2753.3 is clearly not a release candidate, and is still based on a fairly stale version of Chromium. However, Chrome/Chromium 104 is scheduled to get officially released tomorrow... which means that we will be seeing 5.4 release candidates soon... and there will be big pressure to release ASAP if Cr104 contains critical security fixes.

This is enabled in Mouse settings, and is no longer experimental. I have restarted Vivaldi.

This is a cosmetic issue, but may be easy to fix?
