@guigirl 0.17.1 same as new Lubuntu Well at least if you use F's famous 1st citizen spins you get security updates officially and relatively fast, unlike Ubuntu where it's up to the community.
Here's an idea, why don't they use Snaps and Flatpaks for the DE as well, I believe in them (Canonical & Red Hat).

I mean, the worst thing that can happen is the OS to be performing slightly better than the VMs in distrotest, so what? Safety first.

@npro Be on the bleedin' edge, n all.

@guigirl Don't worry, there's that famous Beatles song called "Penny Jane" , I will link to that later so that the... melody sticks in your head 'til tomorrow

Wow, you are the unknown sistar Georgina Harrisdottir with relation to ol' George from brit's Fab Four?

-
Did you aver had tried to compile NVidia driver on Arch?
I am in trouble with my GT720 -
-
@DoctorG I ask because i do not want to fetch Gigabytes of source for kernel/module and then fail after hours of compiling code.
-
@DoctorG I assume you've already found that the open-source drivers for your gpu are no good?
-
@guigirl No, that is always the same since decades with NVidia & Linux - the Open Source drivers are not good enuff.
-
@DoctorG Yeah, that's why i chose in my early Linux years, once i came to learn how troublesome nvidia gpu's were in Linux, to physically remove my cheapo nvidia from my tower & only use the integrated gpu. It's been great for me ever since.
-
@guigirl Unfortunately my Intel i915 GPU is a crap for meetings and video.
-
@DoctorG Oh, but but but...
