Have a nice weekend!
I'll play with themes… -
crosspost from /post/533490:
well, then i have a suggestion for them – instead of using another
.TabbedView
inside the editor (which makes it quite hard for me to find the thing i want), show all four sections (header + the three tabs) at once in a grid (or in a single column if there isn’t enough horz space).context: the theme list in the settings is too narrow, but if stretched to full width with a mod, the editor doesn’t look so well.
-
Make custom theme syncable.
-
I am no longer able to pin stacked tabs. We could never stack pinned tabs, but pinned and stacked tabs are very useful.
-
@pesala Are you using two-level stacks?
-
@ayespy No. I use accordion stacks.
-
@pesala Ah. I just tried with two-level and you are right. Stacked tabs cannot be pinned any more. This REALLY disturbs me. I have pinned stacks, but if I ever needed to create another, I could not. That is wrong. I will discuss with devs.
-
@pesala Huh, I still can with Quick Commands. Odd
-
@ayespy I submitted a bug report for this:
(VB-84506) Unable to Pin Stacked Tabs
-
@legobuilder26 I did not have any luck with that.
-
I think there's a new bug in [at least] both this & the previous Snappie, affecting auto-tab-stacking for Accordion layout. It arises in my Default profile with vertical LHS tabs, & in a Test profile with horizontal top tabs.
I open say 3 tabs from my bookmarks [via middleclick on their BM folder]. Then i attend to the first [parent] tab, & proceed to open multiple child tabs from interesting links in Parent1, each via middleclick. All these [correctly] open in an accordion.
Next [with all the preceding still in place, i've not yet actually commenced reading any of those child tabs] i attend to Parent2, & repeat the preceding sequence. Once again, all the child tabs correctly open in an accordion.
Now i attend to Parent 3 & repeat the procedure. Here, unlike above, all the child tabs open as independent tabs; no accordion ensues.
I tried rearranging the Parent tabs sequence prior to any children, to test if this might be site-specific. It is not; instead, whichever is the last Parent [ie, bottom-most or right-most], fails to create an accordion for its children.
Oh, i've just discovered the bug-scope is wider ... in a different test/virgin profile, with vertical RHS tabs but this time two-tier rather than accordion style set, the identical misbehaviour ensues. That is, irrespective of setting accordion or two-tier, the last parent tab fails to auto-stack its children.

@legobuilder26 With QC? I don't use that, and so had not checked. Lemme do that.
-
@pesala Still works with keyboard shortcuts. Prob in your profile?

Seeing as Vivaldi is receiving some visual polish, would be good to see "this mess" fixed:
See how the buttons and elements are not aligned?
