Add your Vivaldi and OS version, too.
I will try to reproduce.Cheers, mib

@jose1977
Do you try to login to Vivaldi with a Google account?
This is not possible.Cheers, mib
-
Yes, i logged in vivaldi with google, but the problem persists
-
It seems that it does not worry solving this problem, I will wait a few days, if it is not solved, I will have no choice but to change the browser, perhaps Edge is a good choice.

I've been having SO much trouble with Google and Vivaldi. How's your google search? Mine won't work with Vivaldi. If I use any other search engine, it's fine. If I use Google on another browser, it's fine. Just Google and Vivaldi not liking each other right now. SO if you're having trouble it would be nice to know it's not just me.

@jose1977 said in Google login everytime I open Vivaldi:
i logged in vivaldi with google, but the problem persists
Despite what the "message" says, you are NOT logging into Vivaldi, it is a Google login that is failing (it may be more than one)!
If you have configured Vivaldi mail to use one or more gmail accounts, you need to enable OAuth on each gmail account.
See https://help.vivaldi.com/mail/mail-get-started/add-and-manage-mail-accounts/ (the section on Google OAuth). There is also the possibility that you have some extension(s) which require Google login. So also verify that under
Settings/Privacy you have ENABLED "Crypto Token" (and if needed "Hangouts"). -
@jose1977
In previous versions, when you added a Google account to Vivaldi Mail or Calendar, you'd be logged in to the account everywhere (Mail, Calendar, Google's web pages).
Now, for additional privacy, each Google service is limited to it's own "bubble". In other words, if you've added a Google account to Vivaldi Mail, Google won't see what you watch on YouTube or translate with Google Translate. Unless you've logged in to these services as well.
Let's say you've added 2 Google accounts both to Mail and Calendar. Then you'll have to log in 4 times, plus additional logins on web pages and extensions. Though, the latter two won't show the OAuth window shown on the screenshots in this thread.
Does this bring more clarity to the issue? -
@eggcorn FYI: core of Vivaldi is Chromium. I have the same problem, even I do not want to use Mail, popup still shows up randomly.
-
@gediminaskv Are you using Vivaldi's mail program?
-
For me, Gmail webmail does not work with any browser other than Safari.
-
I get this login request too. At least once per day even though I do not restart Vivaldi.

When you add a Google account to Mail or Calendar, you’ll be asked to log in through Google’s OAuth dialog.
Previously, there was a single login, which, in addition to the mail and calendar clients, logged you in to your Google account on all Google’s websites. Since Vivaldi 4.3, the logins are kept separate, improving privacy. This means that even if you’ve added, for example, your Gmail account to Vivaldi Mail, Google won’t know what you watch on YouTube or search on Google (unless you log in to the website).
If, for some reason, you’re logged out from your account(s) in Vivaldi Mail and Calendar, Google’s OAuth dialog will appear again for each account and service (Gmail, Google Calendar) you’ve added to Vivaldi. In that case, please login to your account again. If you ignore or dismiss the dialog, it will keep reappearing every time the account checks for updates.

The Vivaldi Browser is constantly sending a login notification screen. I'm logging in with Google, but notifications keep coming in. how to find out where the problem is caused? i have background tabs open. is one of these tabs sending it?
thanks -
@korhansengur Hello and Welcome to the Vivaldi Community
Have you enabled the Mail/Calendar client and have you added a Google email account or calendar to it?
-
@pathduck i created a calendar. I think that's why this problem happened. thank you very much. i checked it.

Every five or ten minutes, while I have Vivaldi opened, a window (attached below) with the words "Choose an account" on it appears in front of whatever I'm doing then abruptly disappears (I grabbed the shot with a screen recorder). I thought this was sync-related, so despite not wanting to use the feature on this machine I logged into my account in the Sync settings and simply told it to not sync anything. But the window keeps appearing. It might be the initial welcome screen that you normally see when you first install. Aside from wiping my config and starting over, is there any way to troubleshoot this away?
Version: 5.1.2567.73 (Stable channel) stable (64-bit)
OS: Opensuse Tumbleweed -
@jcholewa This is a Google sign in. Do you have gmail or a Google calendar account active?
-
@luetage Ah yes, I have the calendar set up in the sidebar. It seems to be working normally when I check it, but since I haven't really used the feature in weeks (and have forgotten it was there!) I'll disable it so that the issue hopefully goes away.
Thanks!
