Integrated password manager - allow to edit passwords
-
Hi,
Pleasr add a function that allow to manually edit an already saved password.
And if possible, allow this change without requiring a screen lock.
I only lock sensitive applications and I prefer to save time by disabling my phone screen lock. -
If you "Edit" the password for your login at example dot com it will not be updated at example dot com.
When you try to login your credentials will be rejected.Firstly
- login to example dot com then change the password there.
- Vivaldi will ask if you want to Save the revised password.
- Click Save and the password will be revised the the Vivaldi password database
-
Yes, but on some websites there are several redirections between the login page and the backend page and therefore the window that asks to update password does not show. In these cases it would be useful to be able to manually edit passwords from the password manager.
-
Another example is Amazon.
I just updated my login e-mail but vivaldi does not asks me to update it in the password manager. So i would like to be able to update it manually inside the password manager for the next time i want to login -
Yes editing is a useful feature, also give option to add password from passwords menu! And if it won't be a burden take us to that site when clicking saved password ïļ

Manually being able to create and edit passwords is also extremely useful for people migrating to Vivaldi from other browsers. Firefox has this function built in, and though not used often I have found it useful on multiple occasions.
"Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it"
There is no downside to allowing users this option
