And we have a 4.2 liftoff…
-
A nice changelog.
-
I selected "Selected text on web pages" on this page, clicked translate - nothing happened. I looked into the dev tools and:
{
"message": "Unable to recognize source language",
"code": "LANGUAGE_NOT_RECOGNIZED"
}I guess some error handling is needed BTW: I tried translating this again after logging in to post the comment and it worked just fine on the same text. Weird.
Anyway - nice feature! I really love it, I'm using Google Translate extension (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/google-translate/aapbdbdomjkkjkaonfhkkikfgjllcleb?hl=pl) for years to have this feature, now it's build in!
It needs some visual styling (Google seems very nice, current design seems very raw, like it's not actually styled at all) but it's a very good path!

Yes! I was waiting for this, nice long change log
I take it the unicycle's had a good workout this summer?
Pet bugs that seem to have been fixed in this release even if not mentioned:
(VB-81604) Tab titles for new tabs are shown as "Start Page" on hover when "Show Popup Thumbnails" is off.V menu icon is no longer shown in fullscreen, I suppose it was never intentional anyway
-
Enhanced translation tools--meh, I would rather want to get an English grammar checker.
-
@culip You can use extensions like Grammarly but a built-in tool would be better for privacy.

Or the extension LanguageTool , developed in Potsdam, Germany:

Auto update prompt worked from last snapshot -
@chas4 not for me, I found this announcement, checked my setting, the Automatically Download setting was AGAIN disabled, by itself. I had to enable it, then after few seconds the "update ready" appeared.
-
I get random crashes on this snapshot.
-
@longlife Complete browser or only tab (dead bird)?
Which OS version? -
@doctorg Vivaldi just closes instantaneously. Win10
-
@longlife Windows 10 N or KN?

[Tabs] Can’t close tab when “Align Next Close Button” disabled (VB-82222)
Wondering if this is also a problem that i have:
When i close a tab, i can't interact with the new tab that is under the mouse pointer, eg. i can't close it or activate it, this is annoying when trying to close several tabs in a row, close one, can't interact with the next untill clicking on another tab before.Or do i have some other issue happening?

No release yet on the arch repository, but exactly my thought. Although I will do it with a fresh profile first; it sucks to have duplicates.

Quite a long list there...
