Vivaldi 4.0: Vivaldi Translate and betas of Vivaldi Mail, Calendar and Feed Reader are here
-
@jamesbeardmore I suppose you could try launching with switches such as
--disable-gpu --disable-gpu-compositing
-
@sjudenim: I see this regression too. The configuration, Themes > COLOR > Opacity > Enable Blur, is ignored
4.0.2312.24 (Stable channel) for Windows. -
@jon Is there any update regarding the separate feed reader interface?

@tarreas
I can confirm it. -
Great update it works great!!!!
-
@scottytrees: Hi, Google blocks logins from third party "untrusted" clients by default. It's their way to cripple the competition by letting the users jump through some loops. Here's a list of options to work with a Google account in Vivaldi: https://help.vivaldi.com/mail/mail-get-started/add-and-manage-mail-accounts/

Congratulations on the release, it looks fantastic, but I would love to see a version with the ability to turn tabs off. Other than that good browser.
-
@buzzb Uncheck "Show Tab Bar" in Tab settings, or from the View menu.
-
@stevekong Thank you, I found a link from your link that took me to my Google settings to allow "less secure" apps access and got Mail and Calendar up and running, thanks brother.
-
Something has been changed that breaks the ability to use CSS to move the tab bar to where it belongs, under the address bar. Obviously making it an option would be ideal, but if not, can we please at least make it possible to customise, the way we have been able to up to this point.
It's one of the main reason Vivaldi is my main browser, and while I know I'm only one user, it is very likely to drive me away if it can't be fixed.
-
@xyzzy Cheers for that, but it appears to simply show or hide the tabs. I'd like all tabs to open in a new window. i.e. no tabs to show or hide.
-
@buzzb Non-tabbed browsing is not available in Vivaldi.
-
@ayespy Thanks, a real pity, other than that it's a great browser.

@Nekomajin , we do have a feed panel at this time. Feel free to suggest improvements. We do plan to offer a feed manager page in the future as well.

@jon It was impressive, but this was the biggest launch of this year
-

Congratulations, the update to version 4.0 is very good, they have managed to polish the translator very well, they just need to improve (rather, incorporate) the issue of being able to automatically delete the download history when exiting the download history, that of recent closed windows , the form autofill data, because deleting the browsing history is not enough.
For now the only errors found are:
1-Mail: the SIZE column does not show any value.
2- F11 - Full screen (in Manjaro): does not work if in SETTINGS-APPEARANCE the option USE NATIVE WINDOW is disabled. -
@adacom Thank you for giving me the link, much appreciated.
