Print Specific Page Elements
-
I often print articles and reading materials from web pages. However, I find the "Print Selection" feature (which is already built-in Chromium) a bad user experience and sometimes buggy.
I still need to highlight texts I want to print which is sometimes very difficult to do especially when the web page is very long. Sometimes, the selection will include parts which I don't want to print and sometimes, the selection will not print parts I want included. This might be due to the limitation of selection tool of the browser.
My proposal is to have an option to print specific page elements instead. I imagine the interface to be similar to this previous feature request. User can instead just hover on specific page elements they would like to print and click to show the print dialog.

Hello.
Your proposal looks possible in "Print WhatYouLike".

You can print the page elements you need from the bookmarklet. -
@shifte Thank you for this suggestion. Although, I wish a print function like that, together with the ability to screenshot specific elements, would be integrated to Vivaldi in the future. It's just more convenient to do so and it could be a great feature to showcase as other popular browsers still don't have these functions yet. Besides, PrintwhatYouLike doesn't seem to have an Chrome extension and they aren't open-source as well.
